Hello and welcome home.

Take the time to discover Chorrillos and enjoy a completely different experience during your stay in Lima !

We are a belgo-peruvian family.

Our house was built in the end of the 19th century and has been completely renovated in 2007. It is located two blocks away from the Pacific Ocean, in the heart of the old part of Chorrillos, in the South end of the Bay of Lima, next to the district of Barranco, 15 minutes away from Miraflores and 25 minutes from the center of Lima. It is of easy access from the airport of Lima/Callao by the coast expressway.

Transports nearby : moto-taxis, buses, taxis, Metropolitan express bus. Banks, stores, markets at walking distance or with moto-taxis.

At your arrival, the house will permit you to rest from your trip, discover the new environment and organize your journey through Peru in the best conditions.

Our neighbourhood is a living contrast between popular and prosperous spaces. The mototaxis, the processions and their joyful people give to the “(email hidden)ly ambiance and animation.

This district has a better climate for being well protected from the winds.

Some blocks away from our place,

You will find good restaurants as The Hornero (meat), Sonia, Morocho, Punta Arenas, Nautika (fish), Vara (international, peruvian), Inguiri (jungle specialties),

You will enjoy an animated and colourful market,

You may go down to Playa Pescadores with its fish market, its popular restaurants, its fishers boats, boat tours and pelicans, or to Playa Agua Dulce to walk, run or rest on the beach and to swim in the summer.

You may walk to the Herradura beach, popular with surfers and for its restaurants,

You can discover in mototaxi the Huge Cross which dominates Lima and from where you will enjoy a panoramic view of the entire Bay and out to La Punta and the Isle of San Lorenzo,

You may visit the Planetarium on the Morro Solar Hill,

and visit a little further away the Pantanos of Villa Reserve for birds lovers.

If you wish, we can guide you on tours of the city (Miraflores, Barranco, historical Lima...), excursions to the Isle of San Lorenzo (boat tours with sealions), La Punta... and propose you sports activities as horseback riding on the beach and/or dunes in Lurin, 30 minutes away from our place (our specialty !), surf, bicycling and paragliding.

We will provide you help with all the questions you might have about your trip : tips, transports, reservations, itineraries in French, English and Spanish...

Our place and activities around are adapted to family groups, sports lovers and social oriented persons. However, if you wish to discover the nightlife of Lima, Barranco (the “bohemian” district known for its cafés, bars and art galleries) is just 5 minutes away by car. There are secure taxis to go out at night.

  • Francisca is a wonderful hostess with a big heart. She was incredibly generous with sharing her knowlede of Peru and taking time to help me organize my travels. Her house is beautiful, with a nice open layout, a lovely terrace, and lots of love. Great people, great accommodations, and a welcoming environment that made me feel right at home. Many thanks Francisca!

  • We had a fantastic stay at Franciscas home! Warm welcome and introduction to the family. Luxurious room with own bath room and balcony. The location is great, outside of the touristic center of Lima. Lots of stuff to discover around and only 30min by metro bus to the inner city. Francisca helped us with everything, booking taxis, a tour with a mototaxi and with the visit of a dentist :) lovely woman!

  • I loved staying with Francisca and Claude. They are so warm, kind, and helpful. Francisca explained so much to me about Lima - what buses to take, where and where not to walk, what sights to see, what restaurants are good, etc. And their home is lovely and is such an excellent value for the money. Clean, bright, airy room with private bathroom and private balcony. A lovely terrace where I spent so much time lounging, reading, etc. Close to the beach, walking distance (or mototaxi) from the buses that go to Barranco, Miraflores, etc. Cannot recommend this wonderful place enough!

  • This is the very first B and B I have ever stayed in in my entire 70 years, and I want to simply say that it surpassed any experience I have ever had in any hotel - even a 5 star establishment. It was clean, comfortable, with plenty of hot water and refreshing ocean breezes, and the hosts exceptionally friendly and accommodating, with all the amenities a traveler from the first or second worlds would ever want. Allichay is conveniently located a New York block from the Pacific (Playa Agua Dulce) at the base of El Morro and La Herradura in Chorrillos, a section of Lima where you have an opportunity to experience the warmth and friendliness of the native people and their culture, and yet within an easy walk's reach of Miraflores and Barranco in case you want to re-inject yourself, for a bit, into the hustle and bustle of New York or Paris. There are many wonderful restaurants within the immediate vicinity, but I would heartily recommend Franciska's breakfasts. They are the best I have had in Lima as well as the easiest on your pocketbook! Just do not make the mistake I made; bring extra cash along (as the establishment is not set up for credit cards) so that you can be sure to avail yourself of Franciska's culinary creations every morning before you begin your day of sightseeing in Chorrillos and greater Lima.

  • Everything was perfect ! I was at Françoises house at the beginning and at the end of my trip and twice she helped me a lot !
She gave me a lot advices about Lima, for example which bus to take or which district is good to visit. She also helped me to book my bus for Arequipa.I think even her house is a litte bit far from the central place, you have many things to do around.
I would have liked staying more time. if you want to stay in Lima for a few days or weeks, i thins it's the best place.
You feel like home, we had dinner twice together and every time it was so funny and very sympathic to talk with her or the other peoples.
I know now where to go in Lima and i will probably visit her in the future.

  • Francisca and her family are great! The time we spent with them was amazing. Francisca is very helpful and will try to make sure your stay is perfect. We were not feeling well and Francisca was there with caldo de pollo. We can not say enough good things about Francisca. The house is so beauitiful and clean. The room is large and even has a balcony. Chorrillos is a great place to stay full of culture and the beach is very close. It is cheap and very easy to get to Miraflores and the historical center by bus or taxi. We would definitely recommend staying here. We can not wait to return! Thank you for everything!

  • Beautiful and immaculate house in Chorrillos, less than a 2 min walk to the malecon. The owner and her family are extremely accommodating and warm, definitely made this Peruvian feel at home. Thank you Françoise et Claude!

  • More than anything in Lima, my best experience was staying at Allichay with Claude and Francisca. Even before my arrival I felt looked after by them. They were so welcoming, helpful, informative and attended to my every need. My room was so clean and cozy that I didn't want to leave. I loved writing at the little desk next tall French doors that open onto a small private balcony where the ocean breeze blew in. The entire house is a work of art - from the doorways and archways, to the kitchen and furnishings. Accessing the other neighborhoods was easy with local buses and taxis. If Lima had more attractions to inspire me, I definitely would have stayed longer.

I have a Master Degree in Oceanography from the University of Aix-Marseille in France. I'm interested by the environment and recycling as well as preserving Nature. I love horsebackriding and I administrate the little ranch of my boyfriend. We offer, to affictionates and tourists, rides in the dunes, the valley and the beach of Lurin. I also practice surf and swimming. I love taking pictures, I care about animals, I love to travel. Two years ago, when I still lived in Belgium, I made a 7 months trip by myself which took me to United States, Mexico, Peru, Chile and Australia. I went mostly in dorms... at the time, AirBnB did not exist yet ! This was a great experience. As I am belgian and peruvian, I finally decided to live here in Peru.
