Oceanfront Vista is near shopping and local restaurants and less than 1 mile from the famous Polynesian Cultural Center, Hawaii’s top tourist attraction and a “must do.” BYU-Hawaii, the LDS temple, and Hukilau Beach are easily accessible within Laie. A short drive takes you to pro surfing spots at Sunset Beach, Haleiwa, Waimea, or to the pro golf course at Turtle Bay Resort.
At Oceanfront Vista you can seclude yourself in Hawaii’s natural beauty or join in the local scene for a true Hawaii experience away from crowds. Beach access is a short walk to the stone staircase cut into the cliff side. Low tide leaves tide pools to explore, or you can swim in the quiet wave free shallows. You may often have the beach to yourselves, with only occasional passers-by. Rental also includes use of the boogie boards and snorkel gear on site.
For larger groups and family reunions Oceanfront Vista may be rented in conjunction with neighboring Oceanfront Estate. Also a great location for weddings! Call for details.
If you do not want to access the Ocean Side Hot Tub, basketball hoop, Tether Ball, and Koi Pond Terrace during your stay there is a 60 dollar per night decrease in the cost of rent.
Interaction with Guests
We live next door and tend to only interact to welcome you and respond to questions and concerns if there are any.
We are two homs from the end of a peninsula with cliff diving, surfing, snorkeling, and spearfishing all around us.
Quiet time is from 9:00 pm to 8:00 am. Please be mindful of the time (especially on your first morning - most people from the mainland arise about 5 am and forget the time difference).
Just to be clear, we stayed in the large house that is separate from the owner's abode (I'm noticing there are also reviews for a studio on the same property).
This is a truly beautiful place, and the house was perfect for our needs. Our party included two couples, one with a toddler. My husband and I stayed upstairs, while our friends and their child stayed in the downstairs master, and it was the perfect amount of separation to afford us some privacy. This place is obviously also good for large parties as there are tons of rooms and beds.
The view out the back of the house is spectacular. You can fall asleep with the sound of the ocean close by. Even though the house is sitting up on cliffs and isn't on the beach, the beach is just a few houses down and very easy to get to.
The house itself is very well-stocked, and the inside decor is tasteful. I think we all felt very at home there, and Patty was a wonderful hostess.
I think I saw someone mention that it was a dry county -- restaurants with alcoholic beverages are in nearby towns, and we just bought a few bottles of wine from Costco on our way there.
Overall, this was a fantastic experience, and I would rent this house again in a heartbeat! Highly recommended!
