This is my second time to stay with Blaithin. Not only is Blaithin a lovely hostess but the B&B is cosy, warm, clean and beautifully furnished. As well as being very central.
What can we say! An amazing woman! An amazing place! An amazing dog! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Jackdaw Cottage and would gladly have spent much more time there. From the moment we made first contact, and to the time we reluctantly departed, Blaithin was an exceptional host. Nothing was too much trouble and she knows very well how to cater for gluten free. She has the kindest and most caring of spirits making us feel totally at home in her beautiful home. We enjoyed immensely being able to share with Blaithin (and Ella the cute dog) breakfasts, a dinner and a car trip to a nearby beach overlooking Galway. A stay in the village of Kinvara at Jackdaw cottage is a special experience. Thank you so much Blaithin! (P.S. thanks also for introducing us to the radio station lyric fm!)
Our stay with Blaithin in Kinvara was absolutely lovely! Two nights in the village was a great, relaxing stay after having spent 6 nights in big cities during our holiday. Self guided tours of Dinguaire Castle are very inexpensive and provides a fantastic view! We did not have a car during our trip and we had no problems traveling there by bus and connecting to our next destination, Doolin. I would definitely recommend a stay in Kinvara if you would like to see a more scenic side of Ireland's west coast. Blaithin is a very welcoming host and is always happy to answer any questions you may have. Not to mention she has an adorable little dog!
Blaithin was warm, kind, generous and an excellent host. I instantly felt like part of her extended family. She is always on the move, working in her lovely shop, baking scones or welcoming in new friends. The room was perfect. It was comfortable, well ventilated, decorated in a delicate, loving taste and a great place to lay your head. Jack Daw Cottage has a perfect location, 50 meters to the main street, 100 meters to the sea at the end of the road. Kinvarra is a great little town right on the bay. I highly recommend staying here !
The Jackdaw Cottage by the sea is a small but very cosy place. Our room was set up with a lot of love for detail. We truely enjoyed our stay (2nights) at Blaithins house. She is a very friendly and welcoming host and we had tasty breakfast. We enjoyed exploring the nearby Cliffs of Moher and would recommend the charming Jackdaw Cottage to anyone who wants to stay in this area.
This is a fantastic place to stay. Blaithin is a kind, friendly and warm host. The cottage is delightful and located in the very pretty village of Kinvara, south of Galway. I loved staying here as there were many cups of tea, fabulous cooking, laughs, conversation, great room and location. You would be hard pressed to find a more gracious host. I explored County Clare, the Cliffs of Moher and the Burren. I hired a car in Galway and Kinvara was an easy drive from there. Blaithin then advised me on an amazing coastal drive to the cliffs and places to stop for a meal. I highly recommend a stay with Blaithin at Jackdaw Cottage.
I had a wonderful stay with Blaithin. The cottage is right beside the sea and only a short drive from the Burren National park. The room itself was very homely and I was made to feel very welcome and able to relax in the living room and view the wonderful art in the gallery. I would highly recommend Jackdaw Cottage by the sea.
