My daughter and I stayed in this lovely apartment for 4 nights in March. It was our first trip to Barcelona and we could not have asked for a better situation. The apartment is clean and comfortable, with a nice little kitchenette and a bathroom with a nice shower and plenty of hot water. The kitchenette was just right for a light meal or snack with a small, (but not too small!), fridge and even a washer/dryer. (Though it would be more fun to hang your laundry over the little balcony like the rest of the neighbors! You can do that -- there's a rack and clothes pins!) It was a bit chilly in the evenings during our stay, so we turned on the heater in the apt. and it kept us quite comfortable. The location is just perfect. El Born is so lovely with winding streets and alleys, lots of little restaurants, shops, and fabulous tapas bars. The neighborhood is lively, yet our apartment was quiet and we slept wonderfully. Within a brief time we felt like we knew our way around and could easily access Metro stops to take us wherever we wanted to visit. Glaenzel was a wonderful hostess, giving us info to get from the airport to the nearest Metro station, and then meeting us outside the Metro to escort us to the apartment. It is quite easy to get to the apartment from the airport, using the train and Metro. We found the narrow steps leading to our apt. charming, but prospective guests with mobility issues should be aware that there is a bit of a climb. We would most definitely stay in this apartment again. We loved Barcelona and this apartment was just the right home base for us.
