Extra spacious

Guests love this home’s spaciousness for a comfortable stay.
Located in the National Historic District of Ybor City (and less than 5 minutes from Amalie Arena, the convention center, downtown and cruise ports!), our little cottage stacks up perfectly with the charm of its older neighbors while featuring all the modern conveniences. Tucked away from the energy of Ybor's renowned 7th Avenue, it's a short walk to plentiful dining/entertainment options.

The space
Newly constructed one bedroom cottage (casita) can sleep two. Our space is well-appointed with everything you might need to feel at home in one of our favorite neighborhoods in the USA. As we like to say, "every guest can be a local." If you need more space, please inquire about also booking our other little house just next door!

The small kitchen houses a sink, two-burner electric cooktop, stainless steel fridge, coffee maker, and electric kettle. Pop open the table for a quiet, sunlit breakfast at home, or use it as a desk for a productive afternoon of work.

Feel free to browse our book collection, but please leave all media in the house for everyone's continued enjoyment.

Our casita also comes with one dedicated off-street parking spot (the spot adjacent is for our other home next door), and a huge yard complete with palm trees and an adorable white picket fence.

Guest access
With your booking you have access to the casita and the entire private yard. Because of our love of Ybor, we have put together an amazing 'cheat sheet' of our favorite spots in the neighborhood for anyone, at any time of day. Between my husband and I, we've got 15 years experience living in the neighborhood and are excited to share our treasures and tips with guests! Please let me know if you're interested in recommendations and I will send our list along via email. A physical copy of the list is also kept at the little house.

Other things to note
We welcome single pets that are on the smaller side (it is a tiny house, after all) as long as we're made aware of them at booking. We will charge a refundable pet deposit and please note that the yard is not completely enclosed so you'll need to keep them on a leash when they're outside.

Please keep in mind that while this is a beautiful historic neighborhood, it contains a popular entertainment district. On weekend nights, you can expect some neighborhood noise.

Neighborhood highlights

Ybor is the historic jewel of Tampa, and the house sits right in its residential district. A myriad of entertainment and dining options exist within a few minutes' walk, from Florida's oldest restaurant, the famous Columbia, to newer additions to the neighborhood, like Coppertail Brewery. We keep a good list of our personal recommendations in the house to use as a cheat-sheet.

Where I went to school: Texas A&M School of Architecture
My work: design entrepreneur
In 2015, my husband and I set out on an adventure to design and build our very own tiny-ish house in one of our favorite places - Ybor City. In 2017, we got the itch again and built a second 'big' little house next door. I am an architect/designer/micro developer based in Ybor -- but I love to travel! I am VERY involved in our neighborhood and I love the opportunity to host guests so that they, too, can experience the coolest spot in Tampa Bay.
