About this listing
Via Frangipane is a small and quite street in the ancient Rione Monti few metres far from Colosseo. The apartment is at third and last floor (without a lift) of a 17th century building. Because of the height and many windows, the apartment is full of light and very quiet. The inside has been fully renewed, keeping the original wooden beam ceiling. It is composed by a main living/bedroom where the original sofabed has been replaced by a regular double bed, wooden table and fire place and by a small low ceiling wardrobe room. The apartment has a small bathroom with shower and a small kitchen.
New extra heater for the winter has been added.
The apartment is situated in a famous Monti district which is full of charm and is considered one of the most authentic places in Rome. It has great traditional restaurants and is famous for its authentic shops. It is loved by locals.
The apartment is very well connected to public transportation. Metro stop Colosseum and Cavour is just 3 minutes walk away.
Portable 3G WIFI (you can take it out of the apartment and have a wifi spot around the city).
Towels and bedlinen provided.
No smoking allowed inside the apartment.

We're so grateful 13 Via Frangipane was the start of our Europa adventures. You can practically see the colosseum from the apartment and it's walking distance. Cutest and safest location. Every important and fun area is walking distance! Also, apartment is above a ristorante with the nicest waiters that treated us like their daughters! After a long day of exploring and bike riding, my girlfriends and I made it tradition everyday to sit for a Sprit (Italian beverage) then head upstairs.
More pros than cons, but main issue was th room gets hot as the AC is weak and it's the highest floor. Internet was also weak and it kept going out.
Jane's place was awesome. It is ideally located and we were able to walk pretty much everywhere. Jane's friend Alessandro was nice enough to meet us at 2:00AM to give us the keys. The place is pretty small as shown, but worked well for my sister and I. Definitely would stay here again.
It is a practically and stylish arranged appartment, with everything one might need. We felt like integrated in the life of this amazing city from the first moment on. The owners were kind and helpful. Everything was as expected, so we fully enjoyed our stay. The portable wifi was great aid combined with the public transport app.
Great location as a bolt hole to visit Rome's many sights. Really enjoyed walking home passed the forum toward the Colliseum every night. Flat was small, charming and private - just what we wanted.
Great location and great restaurant suggestions. Alessandro met me promptly with the key and explained everything.
This apartment is a small but fully functional space that is steps from the colosseum and palatine hill. It was so close to a street full of restaurants and close to a grocery store if you need it. Very enjoyable stay!
