Excellent host. Perfect location. Wonderful home. Great place for a NYC visit. We are a retired couple from Florida and loved the neighborhood.

This place is a perfect base for exploring amazing Brooklyn. It is two blocks away from the Subway and very close to a number of great cafes/bars/restaurants and shops. The welcome cookies and space to leave our cases before our late flight after checking out were big bonuses. We would definitely stay again if we were in the area.

Claire was a great host. We arrived later in the day than we had originally planned. This had no impact on check-in as everything was seamless. I found parking right out front with no problem at all. We felt warmly greeted and the place had everything we needed for our visit. It is such a well lit and and comfortable apartment. For dinner I recommend trying the local restaurant, Aita, which is right on the corner. I hope to stay at the carriage house again when we visit Brooklyn again.

I stayed at Claire's place with my boyfriend and another friend, who used the pull-out couch in the living room. The apartment was spacious for a 1BR and had great natural light (the living room does get very bright due to a skylight so if you sleep late, maybe use an eye mask!). Check-in and check-out were easy and there was even a plate of cookies, fruit and cheese provided upon arrival. We requested 2 sets of keys since we didn't all have the same schedule during our 2-night stay and this was not a problem. The neighborhood and block are both very charming and it was a quick walk to subway transit options. Would definitely stay again.

One of the things I enjoy the most is meeting people.. When I am not working as an attorney I spend a lot of my time cooking, baking and feeding people. I'm originally from New Orleans, the mecca of hospitality...Down there people have a way of welcoming strangers into their homes and feeling that it's their fault if the person doesn''t have a great time. I love my Clinton Hill neighborhood because in alot of ways people's attitudes about what is important mirrors that of my native hometown. LAISSEZ LE BON TEMPS ROULEZ. And may God help you, if you don't understand.
