One bedroom apartment located in a prewar carriage house located in the Clinton Hill section of Brooklyn. Apartment is furnished with modern decor and has all amenities essential to make the guests stay comfortable and memorable. This apartment is near public transportation ( the c and g trains) connecting the guests to Manhattan within twenty minutes. The Brooklyn Academy of Music as well as the Brooklyn Flea Market, the Farmer's Market, Fort Greene Park, Prospect Park and a multitude of interesting shops and restaurants are
a stone's throw away. Guests love the proximity to Manhattan but also fall in love with the charm and flavor of the Brooklyn neighborhood. The streets are tree-lined with many beautifiul stunning brownstones and mini-mansions that are still owned by single families. One of the most amazing days is the day of the New York Marathon, when neighbors and tourists all gather to cheer the runners on. The parks are also always filled with wonderful activities for people of all ages.
Guests are expected to enjoy the space and leave it as they found it, The cleaning of course will be done by the housekeeper.
Claire was very accessible and responded quickly to our needs. The apartment was great. Very clean and spacious with a well-equipped kitchen. Very convenient to the Clinton Hill/Fort Greene areas as well as the subway line.
We didn't meet Claire or her team, but the apartment was very clean, well-equipped, comfortable and close to public transport. We really enjoyed our stay.
It is excellent value for money and I would definitely recommend it if you're looking for something a little alternative away from the hustle and noise of Manhattan.
My sister and I stayed at Claire’s Carriage House Apt. the nights of March 6 and 7. Upon our arrival, we were greeted cordially by Claire and her staff, shown up to the Apt., and given the keys.
Although it was around noon, Claire was nice enough to let us move into the Apt., mostly just to drop off our bags, as it was all ready to go anyway. (And Claire even offered to help carry a bag up.)
As you have already read in other reviews, this apartment is secure, clean as a whistle, very spacious, fully equipped, and perfectly located in Brooklyn. If you are in Brooklyn on business or perhaps (like us!) have family in Brooklyn, this is the place to stay. (Indeed, my niece was precisely ONE BLOCK away; what a pleasant surprise for all of us!)
The next time I’m in Brooklyn, I would not hesitate to stay at the Carriage House Apartment again.
Our host Claire greeted us at the apartment and couldn't have been more welcoming on the cold and frosty day we checked in. The apartment is very charming, roomy and comfortable and well equipped. Our thirteen year old son enjoyed the sofa bed in front of the TV. Only hiccup was a malfunctioning heating system but Claire immediately got us space heater's while she had the mechanic/ electrician come in on Saturday and had it fixed immediately. The bed in the bedroom is very comfy also with lovely bed linens. Fantastic area also and perfect for us because we were there to see our daughters thesis exhibition at Pratt Institute which is just a few blocks away- a beautiful historic campus nearby.
The apartment was just as pictured. clean and comfortableand a great location . I wouldn't hesitate to come back again. my husband and I were there for couple days visiting our daughter who lives a few blocks away. we will definitely be back. Claire was a wonderful hostess and whenever we had any questions or concerns she was there immediately
Gracious and understanding host, beautiful apartment and perfect location right by the train. Highly recommended. Thanks again Claire and I'm sorry for any inconvenience.
We had a very nice stay on a very snowy weekend! The apartment was great and Claire was very responsive. I hope to return!
One of the things I enjoy the most is meeting people.. When I am not working as an attorney I spend a lot of my time cooking, baking and feeding people. I'm originally from New Orleans, the mecca of hospitality...Down there people have a way of welcoming strangers into their homes and feeling that it's their fault if the person doesn''t have a great time. I love my Clinton Hill neighborhood because in alot of ways people's attitudes about what is important mirrors that of my native hometown. LAISSEZ LE BON TEMPS ROULEZ. And may God help you, if you don't understand.
