About this listing
Private bedroom & bathroom with use of all common areas in the house. Big kitchen, living room, cozy backyard patio, quiet neighborhood near lots of transit options.
Quiet townhouse in the 'burbs of Portland, near transit with easy access to downtown and a hostess who loves nothing more than being a Portland tour guide. Spare bedroom for rent with wi-fi, netflix, washer/dryer, showers, all that good stuff.
Kitchen, living room, and bathrooms in common area available for use.
The neighborhood is a peaceful suburban residential area, close to lots of food, shopping, and parks. Walking distance to a major bus line, and very close to several major transit centers for buses and light rail trains.
Your stay comes with a host who, schedule permitting, will provide personal tour guide services and rides to nearby points of interest.
Feel free to use any part of the house besides the master bedroom. My third bedroom is usually empty, so you can use that for extra space if you need it. The room has a bed, desk, side table, and dresser. Large open downstairs with comfy furnishings, fireplace, and a huge selection of board games.
Interaction with Guests
I'm a Realtor and usually work from home, so I'm often available if you need help with anything in the house, or have questions about getting around. I'm always available by text or email, too.
Free reserved parking space, free street parking, near transit (bus line 57, MAX blue line), Uber and Lyft serve this neighborhood.
No smoking inside and preferably no wild parties into the wee hours of the night.
Guests may help themselves to anything in the kitchen and use the laundry.
Come and go whenever.
I'm a former travel journalist turned part-time office schmo. I spend my days off hiking in the Columbia River Gorge or geeking out with friends playing board games or bridge. I'll be happy to take guests on hikes or point out the best food carts in Portland, and I'm always up for a Blazer game or karaoke night.
My husband McKenzie travels for work quite a bit, but sometimes he's around, too. He's a quiet guy, into bridge, bluegrass music, books, beer, and several other things that start with "b."
