The Space

Kitchen, living room, and bathrooms in common area available for use.

The neighborhood is a peaceful suburban residential area, close to lots of food, shopping, and parks. Walking distance to a major bus line, and very close to several major transit centers for buses and light rail trains.

  • I'm not that great at booking too far ahead of time. Meg responded very quickly and was very nice and accommodating. What I needed was a bed, desk, and bathroom. This is exactly what she and her husband had -- which was about 1/3 the price of surrounding hotels. I'm the kind of traveler that will get to bed really late, and Meg was very nice about my showing up after 8.

Meg was also very happy to give me a list of things to do in Portland. She is very knowledgeable. Definitely a plus!

  • Meg was a wonderful hostess! She was nice enough to pick myself and my boyfriend up from the Beaverton Max stop, and even took us to get lunch because we were pretty hungry when we got there. We both really enjoyed talking and getting to know her, and would definitely recommend other travelers to (email hidden)!

About
I'm a former travel journalist turned part-time office schmo. I spend my days off hiking in the Columbia River Gorge or geeking out with friends playing board games or bridge. I'll be happy to take guests on hikes or point out the best food carts in Portland, and I'm always up for a Blazer game or karaoke night. My husband McKenzie travels for work quite a bit, but sometimes he's around, too. He's a quiet guy, into bridge, bluegrass music, books, beer, and several other things that start with "b."
