Jeff made us feel very welcome and the house was just what we had hoped for. It had a rustic woodsy feel with plenty of space for our family of 4.
We loved being able to jump off the dock into the lake and made good use of his canoe while there. We cooked most of our meals but did enjoy a few local places, including Yesterday's Cafe.
The pictures of this log cabin don't do it justice. It's incredible. It's located on a couple of wooded acres in a VERY nice section of Lake Oconee. The inside is beautiful and comfortable. Great kitchen, living/dining rooms, and the bedrooms are great as well. We spent a lot of time enjoying the screened porch, cooking out on the deck and gazing at the stars while sitting on the boat dock. (We watched hawks dive headfirst into the water to catch their supper!)
I can't stress how relaxing this place is! Plus, it's close to state parks, tons of golf courses, the Ritz, Reynolds Plantation, and lots of shops, restaurants and other attractions. And Lake Oconee is the place to be in April...no crowds! (But remember, April blooms bring lots of pollen!) The cabin is located about an hour from August, so if you're in town for the Masters, it's not a bad drive back and forth at all. Also, take the short drive into Greensboro and check out Yesterday's Cafe...good food!
Jeff is a great host and a nice guy to work with. He's easily accessible and very helpful. You ask, he'll answer. I highly recommend this stay and will definitely be coming back for more.

About the Host, Jeff
I'm from Atlanta and love to travel for music gigs. I try to get out west at least once a year. I love pets, good food, great music, and motorcycles. I run a smallish design/build company and rent the spare bedroom in my office/house through Airbnb. I've met some great guests and love it!
