La Missare - The Dormouse, France

Bed & Breakfast - Private room · Route de Clermont, Brignac, Languedoc-Roussillon 34800, France

The Space

"La Missare" means The Dormouse in the original Occitane language of the South of France.
We have four private guest rooms, with private bathrooms, nestled in a lush garden with swimming pool. The property has belonged to the same wine-making family since it was built nearly two centuries ago. The domain is located in a quiet village in the middle of one of France's premier wine-producing regions, surrounded by nature.
The rooms are filled with French antiques - you'll sleep under real French antique linen! - and the elegant breakfast is served either in the garden courtyard or in the traditional mansion.
In the summer, we sponsor classical music concerts, with buffet. in the garden, and in the winter we often have chamber music concerts in the main house.
Rooms for two person, breakfast included, are 75 Euros. We can accommodate a total of 9 people, since one of the 4 rooms has a single bed in addition to a double (25 Euros extra for an additional guest).
Wonderful restaurants are located just 3km away, and guests will need either a car or other personal transport to get around.
La Missare is a truly special experience of France as a timeless center of culture and quality.
We're just 30km due west of historic Montpellier (bullet trains to/from Paris and flights to/from Paris and London), and many other ancient and beautiful villages and towns are just minutes away. We're also just a half hour from the Mediterranean sea, where there are lively port towns and also miles of great beaches.
The area is also known all over the world as a major center for antiques shopping, and La Missare also has its own antiques boutique on the premises.
