Public transportation is less than 100 yards across the road, but is not always reliable. Parking in the garage (depending on the size of the vehicle) and on the street are options. We offer, without cost, transfers both to and from the airport.

Mona was a very kind and generous host. My boyfriend and I stayed with her for 2 nights, and we wish we could've stayed more! She picked us up at the airport, made breakfast for us and took us out one night to the Fish Festival. Her place was clean and miraculously mosquito free. Located in the southeastern part of the island we were a short walk away from Foul Bay and a short drive away from the southwest beaches. Definitely recommend!
I only needed a single overnight on my trip from the US to St. Vincent and Mona's place was near the airport. The offer of airport pickup and dropoff plus breakfast was very convenient. There was some confusion over my arrival time so I waited at the airport until she had finished work before picking me up. Her place is clean and homey and just what I needed. She showed me around the neighborhood and how to get to the beach. The area has little traffic and most of the noise comes from goats, dogs and the occasional rooster. I would recommend her place and I would stay there again.
Mona is now my new friend in Barbados :) She'll do whatever possible to make you feel welcomed and at home in her confy place. Tks a lot Mona! Next time hope to stay longer at your place ;). Analia
Mona was a very pleasant lady, not too talkative but willing to know my story. She left me in my own space most of the time and from the time she picked me up from the airport we had a nice chat til she asked me if I would like something to eat before bed. I had a great rest, the room was clean and cozy, absolutely ideal for my stay in Barbados. By about 9-10 am she beckoned me for breakfast. The potatoes and codfish were very appetising and the drink alongside it was heavenly! By 4pm she promptly took me to the airport ensuring I made my flight on time. All in all, an enjoyably relaxing experience, one that I would certainly recommend.
This place was special for us, and special in a very good way! Mona is great hostess and the place feels very peaceful overall. It provided a warm, kind rest to our busy souls, exactly what we needed after this winter in Europe. We really enjoyed our time there and would definitely come back again!
There are certain travel experiences which are memorable from the people we meet along the way and this has been one of those. Mona is an exceptional hostess with an effortless, very natural way with people. She's also a great cook, good storyteller, has an infectious personality, and keeps a very comfortable, spotless home. I was looking to find something authentic, special, and distant from the tourist hotspots, and I found it here on this beautiful part of the island, with the most unspoilt, deserted beach just a few steps away. If you're looking for a neighbourhood vibe with real people, living real lives, and doing real things, this is the right place to come. My experience of Barbados could have been very different and I'm so pleased I chose to stay here.
Mona was a fantastic host! A lifelong Barbadian, she knows the island and everything about how to help make your trip perfect. Her cooking is delicious, and she is really a warm and welcoming person. She graciously drove me around town as needed, picking me up from and taking me back to the airport. Her place is also just minutes from a secluded beach, or a 15 min bus ride to Miami/Enterprise beach. Definitely a wonderful choice for a homestay on the island!

I am a young at heart 58 year old (my! how time flies!) English teacher who has travelled extensively. At last count I have visited over 50 countries and lived in three. I love entertaining and showing my beautiful country to others.
Swimming, reading, writing and exercising are my favourite pastimes. I can dance up a storm as well! The written word has always intrigued and so I dabble in writing short stories, poetry and lately novels. Publishing is still a way off!!! I like to learn languages and am happy to practice my faulty Spanish or French on willing victims!! These days I'm trying out Shona and Kiswahili. Some people just don't know when to stop!!!
Caring for my mom who is alzheimers and a double amputee is my absolute honour, pleasure, and privilege. I have one son who is 21 and on athletic scholarship in the USA.. We have an extremely close relationship. My home is "the one" where several of the young men in the neigbhbourhood assemble for games and food. Don't worry when I have guests they are quiet!
My favourite country outside of Barbados is Austria and I am so fascinated by the "dark continent" and "motherland" (Africa) that I am making my second visit in the fall of 2012. Once was not enough!!!
My favourite movies of all times are "The Sound of Music" and "The Shawshank Redemption". I really liked "Face Off" and "Avatar" as well. The books that have impacted on my personal growth are God Sent A Man:" and Nelson Mandela's "Long Road to Freedom." For lighter reading I enjoy immensely Robert Ludlum's creations and the earlier books by Dan Brown. As a teacher of English Literature, my reading is wide and varied, including of course most of the British and American classics.
As a host I am open, easy going and helpful, which is my natural way. My motto is "Excellent Service all the Time". The child in me is still very much alive and I am eternally optimistic. I asked my son what he loved most about me and he said that I am a really kind and fun person. I trust that you will find that to be so.
