The house is spread over 3 stories - kitchen and living room and terrace on one, 2 double bedrooms and 2 bathrooms next and 2 extra beds, and office and a second terrace on the highest level. It can cvery comfortably sleep 6 but 7/8 could be accomodated in hot weather if using the upstairs terrace.

Enter from a tiny street into the lounge where you will find a comfortable sofa, an easy chair, a coffee table, TV, music centre and wood burning fire.
Small balcony with views over the river. Off the lounge is a huge kitchen, exceptionally well-equipped with all new items. Fridge freezer, oven, hobs.

Roquebrun is one of the most popular beauty spots in the Languedoc region. The property is located in the first row of the houses which overlook the fabulous River orb. A cafe and a wine outlet are located just a couple of minutes from the house.There are two restaurants in the town "Le Petit Nice" were you can enjoy traditional food and local wines, whilst relaxing on their terrace taking in the views of the River Orb.
The other restaurant L'auberge St Hubert is also recommended for noveau cuisine. The town also boasts a great pizzeria, wine co-op, tourist office and post office. The market town of St. Chinian is 10 min away with a large supermarket,bank, cafes and an excellent twice weekly market selling local produce and crafts.The town of Beziers is a 35 minute drive away. Walking, hiking, fishing, cycling cayaking, horse riding and of course wine tasting are on the (website hidden) is possible to hire a kayak or canoe and embark on a trip along the river to take in the views, makes a great day out for all the family!
Tennis and Golf are located nearby. tennis courts in the village. 18 hole courses in St Thomas near Beziers and the other in other in Lamalou-les-Bains.The beauty of the area will inspire artists/budding artists.
There famous spa town of Lamalou-Les-Bains is 15km away 15 pure water sources are at the disposal of guests for their health and well-being. Rehabilitation and fitness activities are an essential part of this well-know, 17th century spa town.

FESTIVALS / EVENTS IN ROQUEBRUN:
- Art and craft events at the flour mill.
-Market (Tuesday and Friday).
- Mimosa festival in February (regional produce fair, procession of flowered floats, etc.).
- Bull-running festival 3rd week in July
-Wine festivals are held regularly.
Other festivals/ events: Beziers hosts the Festa d'Oc is a celebration of local music & dance and is in late July and the famous Feria de Béziers, centred around bullfighting, every August.
Valras-plage is 40km by car and has restaurants,shops and a fun park. Serignan plage is located near to Valras plage and is a lot quieter just miles and miles of beach.
The guest can have access to the entire 3 floors described above. However, it hsould be noted that in the grenier there is a window in the form of double opening doors to which small children should not have access. Also, people should not sit on the wall of the upper terrace because of the steep drop.

This can be negotiated to as much or as little as required.
The village and people who live in this village are quite extraordinary. The village itself has narrow winding cobblestone lanes reaching right up to a magnificent old church. One can spend hours just stopping and staring on the configuration of an archway over an old door or an ancient family crypt. The cafe bar is situated right in the centre of the village where you can sit and watch the world go by or there is always someone to chat to as well.
There are at least 3 buses a day to Roquebrun from Beziers. (website hidden) Buses Herault Ligne 203 to see all the times. In Beziers there is a train station where the TGV Connects to the rest of France and Spain. There is a navette to Beziers Airport from the train station and there are trains to all nearby airports - Carcassonne, Perpignan, Tolouse, Girona, Montpellier.
Other Things to Note
There is a market every Friday in the village where you can buy lamb, beef, tolouse sausage, vegetables, fruit, fish, eggs and often there are casual traders selling whatever is in season such as asparagus or cherries or claude reins.
You are asked to treat the house as if it were your own - with respect and care. You are asked not to let children play with the zapper for the awning. Your are also asked to shower off suncream before going to bed as it stains the sheets indelibly. The blue bed is upholstered in silk so you are asked to be particularly careful expecially not to stain the headboard. Smoking is permitted but only on the terraces.
