Treat the home like your own
Dave was an excellent host. He's very accommodating and makes it clear right up front that guests should just completely make themselves at home.
I came and went as I pleased and enjoyed my stay all around. His apartment is located in the heart of Bandra, one of Mumbai's most happening suburbs, and is walkable to various restaurants and nightlife options.
Although I was frequently out due to work, when we did meet it was always friendly and conversational. On one night he invited me out clubbing with a few of his friends, which was great.
Dave also has a cleaner and a cook who routinely drop by, which means there is a steady supply of home-cooked food (if you're interested) and the place stays clean.
One friendly word of advice for fellow travelers: a pair of flip flops would be helpful in the bathroom, as it's the type that has everything -- toilet, shower -- in one space. In my case, Dave kindly supplied a pair of slippers for this, so it was no issue whatsoever.
I had a really enjoyable stay at David's. The app is exactly as described. One need's to be just a little firmer. If you are like me who likes to do things for themselves. enjoyable experience, thanks David.
I came to Mumbai because of work. I desperately needed a place to stay while I searched for a more permanent flat. Dave was super welcoming and I'm really glad I stayed with him! He was really chilled out and gave me lots of great advice on getting around the city, good places to go to eat and drink, and was just generally really nice to chat with. His cook is also amazing and makes fantastic food! I highly recommend staying with Dave for any period of time if you plan to come to Mumbai.
I visited Mumbai under alot of pressure and tension but I was very relaxed and relieved when I was able to find Dave's crib. It felt very homily. I was welcomed whole heartedly and Dave's hospitality was unquestionable. Very reliable, comfortable and safe just as it was potrayed online.
What a great Host David has been, I was pleasantly surprised with the accommodation, simple yet tranquil, just what I wanted. Location was great in the queen of the suburbs of Bandra just a stones throw away from the great Carter Road by the sea. The flat was lovely and David made sure that I was made to feel at home, he provided accurate guidance of where to go and what to do and how to do it. I can only describe him as a gentlemen and scholar. A lovely and genuine man who anyone can become friends with.
I would definitely come to visit David again when next in town and will easily stay with him again.
