This apartment is located on the 1st floor (lift unavailable). It is very bright and includes simple yet comfortable furniture.
The apartment is composed by a living room with a single bed, a dining area, a completely equipped kitchen, a bedroom with a Queen sized bed, a bathroom with a shower and a loft with a single bed (please notice that no walls separate this loft from the living room, so there is little privacy).
The apartment includes air conditioning, a washing machine, a dishwasher, ADSL Internet connection, a toaster, a microwave, a TV set (TV only in Italian), a DVD player, a hairdryer, an iron and an ironing board.
The surrounding area:
This apartment is located on Via della Scala, in Trastevere, a lively, well-known neighbourhood in Rome. The whole neighbourhood is filled with shops, restaurants, pubs and pizzeria, which makes this a perfect area to go out at any time of the day or the night. Trastevere seems to have a special magnet that attracts people from all over the world, and is the favourite Roman Quarter for artists, musicians, actors and people who seek something new. Its colourful personality never leaves you untouched. The apartment is located in a quiet area despite being in the heart of Trastevere. The Roman Forum, Coliseum, Pantheon, Piazza Navona and more sites are all within walking distance.
As for public transportation, there is a tram (trolley number 8) stop that will take you directly to Largo argentina, and the rest of the historic centre.
Well located, very clean, very spacious and modern, the owner is very nice and caring, the internet did not work.
Overall, this was a really great place to stay in Venice - great location and a really cute and cozy space. Natalia is the owner, very nice and accomodating. She was out of town on our arrival date, but arranged for a friend of hers to meet us at the bus station.
A few small things to note though:
The process was a bit confusing as the unit is rented through a third party agency, but you still deal with the owner directly. (Natalia, if you know about this site, rent it yourself and cut out the second middle man!)
Some of the other reviews here are correct in the plaza being a bit noisy at night and the wi-fi being difficult to figure out.
Beyond that though, a great spot and would definitely stay again.
The apartment is nice and its location is indeed very close to Coliseum. Internet connection seems to be limited to two connected devices. This is not convenient when you travel not alone.
Very happy with our stay. Great location in a busy square with plenty of fun bars. The flat itself is plenty large enough to relax in.
If I was in Venice again, I would happily stay in this flat.
The location is perfect! Just literally 1 minute from San Marco! The kitchen is very well equipped that we ended up cooking most if our meals there. The fish market is very close, only 15 minute walk, so I would highly recommend anyone who rent this place to cook your own seafood!
The flat is very spacious and clean. We have a toddler and he could run around in the flat and not feel like being confined.
The beds are not very comfortable though. They seem like air beds, and the middle portion if the bed is slightly bulging out. We don't feel it the first night since we were so tired. But the nights after we're pretty bed, I felt like my back is being pushed upward, and I woke up with a terrible backache the next morning. I ended up sleeping on the sofa bed in the living room. Other people in our party also complains about the beds.
Another problem, which maybe a common problem in Venice, is that there were Mosquitos. It's end of October and there are still lots of Mosquitos. The fact that Venice is a water town and the bottom of this building is a restaurant maybe the cause for the Mosquitos. We solve the problem by not opening the windows in the bedrooms, and we make sure to close the doors of the rooms that we keep the windows open for ventilation such as bathroom and kitchen.
Communication with Enrico is non existent. This may not be a problem since all of my message to him doesn't really require reply, such as notifying him we are arriving shortly, we are checking out and leaving the keys inside etc. maybe that's the reason he didn't reply my message. So make sure you could establish a line of communication with him just in case something needs attention.
All in all this is still a very nice place to stay and I would rent it again if I were in Venice again, just hope the beds will improve.
Thanks for your feedback about the (website hidden).
We are going to check with the owner how to improve the beds and to prevent the mosquitos enter into the flat.
In October there should not be many mosquitos in Venice since it is fresher than in summer. Maybe, you just met some by chance.

Charming apartment located in the heart of Venice! Definitely would recommend to friends.
The lovely apartment is the perfect place to stay for your visit in Rome. Located on one of the most fashionable streets in Rome, it is an ideal location to both enjoy Rome and all the comforts of a modern apartment. It was spotless and comfortable. Enrico is a gracious host. He waited for us to arrive, even though we were late. The bedrooms are very spacious and the bathroom included a stand-up shower. We loved our stay near the Spanish Steps in this beautiful apartment!
We enjoyed our visit very much - the place was very nice and small garden next to two canals was a special bonus.
The apartment is great, just like the pictures, and the location is fantastic: right in the middle of all the action, with easy access to the subway and within walking distance of many of the sights and about a thousand restaurants.
We arrived by car, and I will say that it was difficult, mainly because the area is so popular and lively and in Rome's ZTL. Arrive by train or taxi if possible.
Enrico gave us a warm welcome, was very helpful with our difficult driving/parking situation, and a great host in every way. Thanks Enrico!
