I stayed with Kathy and the family for a month and it was a pleasure. They're welcoming, friendly and helpful. Kathy even helped me find another place to stay when I was having trouble. The apartment itself is private, clean, comfortable, a nice size, and has everything you'll need - whether your stay is short or long-term. The immediate location is a nice, quiet, and safe residential neighborhood. There's a cinema, a grocery, liquor, and pet store among others just down the road. Lonsdale is also nearby with trendy restaurants, bars, and shops. North Van has some cool community events and a few nice libraries, too. There are nearby bus stops to get you to wherever you need to go - whether early or late. It's also close to the main highway.

Kathy and her family made us feel extremely welcomed and at home. The apartment was well-furnished and very comfortable. The location is in a well-kept neighborhood, and we felt safe the entire time we were there. We did find that the email link through AirBnB was not working, but Kathy provided her phone numbers through the site and she was quick to answer her phone and help us out immediately. We used public transportation, and the bus stops are not right out the front door, but definitely within walking distance. Overall a wonderful experience, and we would consider staying here again if our travels brought us back to Vancouver.

Kathy's little downstairs nook was great! The minute we walked inside we both immediately commented at how homey and comfortable everything was :) location was perfect too - 20 minutes to the heart of Vancouver. Neighborhood was safe and quiet and parking was never a hassle! Kathy wasn't in town but her husband was very friendly and helpful. And their dog was just too cute! Kathy - if you read this, I hope your plant business is / becomes successful! Seriously, your gardens were so beautiful! Thanks for a perfect stay :)

This was the perfect way place for me on my trip to Vancouver. Kathy and her family were so welcoming and I had my own little apartment to chill in. If you're like me and want to be close to the city without being in the city, this is the right spot! It was super easy to get to and from Vancouver, but was quiet and secure for downtime. Loved it!

This place was in a nice, quiet suburb in northern Vancouver. We arrived later at night and Kathy was there ready to welcome us in. It was pretty dark and hard to find the house, but once we did it was easy after that. The house was nice and bigger than I thought it would be. The bathroom looked newly renovated and was clean. The kitchenette was fine for us because we didn't really eat in or anything. Cable TV worked fine as well. As for some negatives, the place wasn't as clean as I would have liked. There was a dead flower bouquet and the petals had all fallen to the floor. The towels provided didn't seem 100% clean. The WIFI was finicky and although it's clear that it's a shared entrance, we still felt like we were intruding going in and out. But that's no fault of Kathy as they were fine with us coming and going. Overall a nice find and value in Canada. About a 15 minute drive to downtown.

We arrived from a late flight at 1:00 am and Kathy was very kind to meet us at the door. Her basement apartment is simple, clean and modern, with everything we needed for our two-night stay. The location was great even without a car; it is about a 40 minute walk or $12 cab ride to the pier and SeaBus. Would definitely recommend.

from vancouver , i am a social worker who works with youth on the downtown Eastside and a parent of a teen boy. My passion in life is designing gardens and selling plants out of my backyard nursery. I also love indoor succulent plants and cacti.
I love eating exotic food and have learned how to make many middle eastern
dishes. I have one dog named Purdy. (chocolate lab)I love meeting people and getting to know them well. I am not a person who likes surface i like to go deep to have a better understanding of who you ....hopefully my new friend.... is all about.
Travelling is also something I adore and want to do more of. Airbnb all the way! Love being a guest, love being a host. Look forward to meeting YOU!

Remember the glass is always half full.

I want you to enjoy your stay and am committed to being the best host that i can be.
