Dawn was a great host. She made me feel welcome and ensured I had everything I needed to make the most out of my stay. I'd recommend her to anyone looking to stay in Sydney in a location convenient to the city.
Great location, five minute walk to catch the buses to North Sydney or CBD. Also very accessible to restaurants and shops.
The bedroom with attached bathroom was decorated very nice and is exactly what you can see in the pictures. Really the only thing missing was cable TV but I survived on free to air! It was a very quiet considering you are near a busy road.
Dawn made me feel very welcome and I would not hesitate recommending her home to any of my friends who are thinking of visiting Sydney & for any of my future visits.
Thanks Dawn for a great stay.

The apartment is perfect.. great location and super super clean. Fresh towels and a private bathroom.
I highly recommend staying. Dawn is easy to deal with and gave me my own space.
Dawn is one awesome host. From providing accurate directions and welcoming us on the street, she alludes a persona that could encourage you to chat with her for hours. She's friendly, warm, kind hearted and goes beyond what is usually experienced from a host.
The room is spacious, filled with light, tastefully decorated and the the bed is comfortable. The ceiling windows can be opened to suit. Dawn provided a good selection of teas & coffee in the room, together with a jar filled with delectable cookies. Something to settle and relax into if you've travelled a long way. If you need some light entertainment prior to calling it a night, there's a TV and DVD player in the room. Personally we preferred to watch the stars by night, and the leaves whistling away in the breeze beneath the clouds, though the ceiling windows (that also has a blind feature if you prefer darkness for a good sleep in).
Secure underground parking is available, which is an excellent feature for a place this close to the city. The property is located within a few minutes walk of cafes, shops and the likes. There's a short bus to Neutral Bay wharf if you fancy taking a ferry to Circular Key.
This place is amazing and exactly as described. You have your own bathroom which is directly connected to your room. Everything spotless clean, a comfortable bed, TV, DVD,... If you want you can cook or alternatively choose from one of the delicious restaurants which are located only 200m from the apartment. Cit is easily reached by Metro Bus in just 10 mins.

About the Host, Dawn
I am a Software and Service Delivery Consultant for the past 15 years. I have a background in education. I moved to Sydney, Australia in 2006. I love the multi-cultural aspect of Sydney, the beaches and the laid back atmosphere. In my free time I enjoy cooking, wine tasting, diving, cycling, traveling, camping and photography. I've made Australia my home now and plan to get my citizenship in the coming months. People describe me as kind, reliable, and outgoing with a smart sense of humour.
I enjoy travelling and have done so all over the US, UK, South Africa, Europe, Philippines, India, Thailand and Australia. Next on my list is Italy, New Zealand, Malaysia, Korea, Japan, Cambodia and China. My favourite movies are mysteries, smart romance, comedies, and any type of gangster movie. I love old classic movies in black and white. My top five are Cool Hand Luke, Good Fellas, Steele Magnolias, Something's Gotta Give and To Kill a Mockingbird. I like anything by Aaron Sorkin; I miss The West Wing, and The Newsroom should have never been cancelled.
My favourite food is Indian, Italian and Thai. I tried to go vegan after living with a vegan for 2 years, though couldn't give up salmon and cheese, so the shift was a bit too extreme.
I'm into all different types of music, and will not hesitate to listen to a live band playing anything. I enjoy live theatre and comedy shows. My favourite actor/comedians are Amy Poehler, Kristen Wiig, John Stewart, Chevy Chase, Bill Murray, Tina Fey, Dawn French, Steve Carrell and Will Ferrell. I love a good laugh.
I don't have a favourite author, though trust the best seller lists for good recommendations.
I don't really have a motto but like to follow the ole' cliché' which is to treat people the way I want to be treated. I try to connect with people who naturally give off an air of strong character and integrity. I like meeting people who have a good story to tell, and have a good positive energy:-)
