Interaction with Guests
I like to e-mail my guest a list of recommendations such as taxi, public transport, good restaurant, other points of interest. I am quick to communicate by e-mail. The communication depends on a guest, some people prefer total independence, others like to take advices of locals.
The are is called Boedo, famous for tango places, little theatres and bohemian bars. My place is on a border of Almagro and Boedo neighbourhoods. The building is situated on a famous avenue Boedo so it's very easy to return home safely, catch a taxi or use public transport. The closest Metro station is Boedo, reached in 5min walk.
The building is on an intersection of famous avenues Independencia and Boedo. It's always very easy to catch a taxi or use public transport. The metro station is in 500 metres.
Other Things to Note
There is a laundry shop downstairs, many restaurants and cafes around, the avenue is large and full of people most of the time, easy to catch a taxi.
There are no strict rules.
At first I have to say that it was the cleanest and tidiest apartment that I have seen in South America. From the beginning I felt really comfortable. Also the location is very good. A big supermarket and the subway are close to the apartment.
Sadly, we couldn't met Egle. But she answered to every question we had and gave us a lot of tips for Buenos Aires.
I wouldn't hesitate to stay there a few more days!
It is just like in the pictures. The location is good but it may not be the best one if you are not taking taxis all the time or if you don't like dealing with buses. If you are a walker or would rather bike around the city, you better stay in San Telmo or Recoleta.
The loft is a comfortable place and it has pretty much everything you may need. I think a few things could be better if you are staying for more than 4 days, like I did. There's no place to hang clothes to dry if you wash them, like underwear or socks. And there's only one towel for each person. For 9 days you may feel like you need new ones. Same thing for the kitchen towel. And I felt in need to clean the house a bit but there were no cleaning products.
I only talked to Egle by email but she was nice and gave us important recommendations.
The apartment was awesome, really good location near the Metro(Subte) and buses. It's very quiet and good for rest after a long day of walk , tour and shopping. The Kitchen is very well equiped, all very clean the shower is hot . The neigborhood is nice there are some restaurants avaliable with good foods and very fair prices with awesome quality. I got a really good experience in this place and will come back on future trips to Buenos Aires. Loved it!
Egle was a wonderful host and was extremely helpful, warm, generous and very responsive.
The neighborhood is also great, definitely outside of the tourist circuit but with easy access to san telmo via subway and to palermo via taxi. Boedo also has a lot of independent theaters and is walking distance to almagro and abasto which are the center of the contemporary art scene in Buenos Aires. Egle's recommendations for restaurants (Pan y Arte) and theatres (Timbre 4) were also wonderful and spot on.
The apartment itself unfortunately is rather sterile and the layout is not at all cozy. It feels very much like a hotel room instead of a home. I think some of this could be remedied with more decorations, like some rugs and some softer lighting. It should also be noted that the apartment is essentially a small studio (hotel room sized) with a kitchenette attached.
I am glad Amer liked our place, I´d only like to make one correction:
Our KITCHEN is an independent space of a normal size, fully equipped
with quality stainless steel pots, pans and other cooking necessities.
There is a gas stove with 4 burners, an oven, where you can cook 4
entire chickens if you wish, a fridge, a microwave, marble surface with cooking space and even 2 sinks, not mentioning numerous
stands and drawers to store your food. All these things you can see in
On the contrary, a "kitchenette" is completely other kind of
installation. I would like to assure my future guests that they will be
able to easily cook any kind of dish - from gourmet to simple food - in
The host was great and accommodating with respect to key pickup / drop-off and apartment cleaning times. Egle was helpful by sending out an email with the neighborhood information such as things to do, restaurants, etc.
Note: Although this place technically falls under Almagro, it is closer to
many of the attractions of Boedo.
This apartment was PERFECT for my stay in Argentina! Everything was extremely clean and brand new. It looks better in person than on Airbnb. Nice little balcony for sipping maté while watching the sunrise. While not quite the center of the city, a cab ride was inexpensive and easy to go anywhere you would want - there is also a subway stop just about three blocks down the road. The apartment is on a well-lit main avenue with anything you could need in the neighborhood, grocery store, laundry, specialty butcher or wine and cheese shop, yummy restaurants, ATM next door, cafes. Good wireless internet. Weekly maid service. The doorman was incredibly nice and helpful even with my awful Spanish. Egle was a phenomenal host and while I didn't get to meet her, she was very easy to communicate with and very flexible. She also gave me a long list of recommendations for my stay in Buenos Aires! I hope I can stay here again =D
We really enjoyed our stay at this apartement. It's nice and clean and Oscar, the doorman, is very helpfull. Egle is a great host. She gave us usefull information about the neighbourhood and buenos aires and she always responded very quickly to our answers.

About the Host, Egle
I am architect, interested in arts, especially painting.
I love chocolate, Aki Kaurismaki movies, early mornings, photography...
I was trying to decorate our apartments nicely so that your stay would be more pleasant. I am recommending my guests places to visit, things to do. I was traveling around the world some years ago and I understand how stressful it is to look for a place to stay, to orientate in a new city.
I normally paint all day in my studio so I am quick to respond e-mails.
Looking forward to hearing from you,
A big supermarket
I like to eat pizza Napolitana and empanadas here. The place always has large scale painting exhibition inside and you can also enjoy live music Thursdays or Fridays.
You can enjoy a very impressive place to drink cofffee or watch tango concerts at nights. One of the most famous tango places in Buenos Aires. Every local knows it.
This is one of the two oldest tea houses in Buenos Aires. It looks like a palace! Very pleasant space.
