We stayed for 3 night at Tevere Apatment. Luis was super helpfull and welcoming. He waited for us upon arrival with an English speaking friend that explained everything about the apartment and also showed us on a map some good places to go visit and eat. The apartment was very clean, warn, full of light and welcoming. There is central heating in the apartment that was always on so it was nice and warm inside at all times. The apartment is very centrally located in Trastevere neighbourhood, very close (by foot) to everything both in Trastevere and in the city center. The pictures on the web site are very reliable. The only down side was the bathroom which is a little small and the water stream is a little weak. However there was always warm water. We would definetly return to that apartment and certainly recomend it. Value for money is very high.
The apartment was just as pictured- bright, quiet (which is a plus given it is located in a very lively area), and clean. The shower is a tic small for the "average American", but overall, fine. The location is perfect for exploring many areas of the Center of Rome. My only complaint is that when I arrived Luis was not there. He left another person in charge of letting us in (who was busy trying to get people into three other apartments)- even though he had emailed me prior to say he would both greet me, and be available for anything....a little more communication on Luis' end would have been appreciated.
That being said- you can rent this apartment with confidence. It is clean, safe, bright and quiet, and in an area that is accessible to a lot on foot....
Absolutely fantastic location!! Close to everything, a short 10min walk and you are in the historic center of Rome and you also get to enjoy the lovely Trastevere neighborhood with its great restaurants and picturesque streets. The apartment was setup as a 2 bedroom for us (family of 4) and it worked well. The apartment was clean and everything worked properly. Communication with Luis was perfect and he took the time when we arrived to give us his recommendations for places to visit and places to eat. Make sure you review the House rules section for deposit and extra charges information.
The apartment was perfect, close to the river, excitement and attractions. It was beyond picturesque, lime trees, a beautiful garden in the back that you can open the bedroom window to and just soak in the beauty of. The street itself is quiet, with nice restaurants right outside the door, but just around the corner there are tons of bars and nightlife. Luis is an amazing host, multilingual, made sure everything was perfect for us and spent the better part of an hour just sitting with me and answering questions/giving directions/advice. Overall, it was amazing to be in Rome and be able to come home to this perfect place at the end of the night.
Here are the questions I wanted answered before I booked:
Is it close to city center? Yeah, It's pretty close, a short walk and you're there
How touristy is the area? Honestly compared to other areas in Rome, this neighborhood is fairly low on tourists. You can find plenty of local piazzas jam-packed full of locals.
Do the pictures do the apartment justice? Yes and No- Yes, because the apartment is very clean (brand new kitchen appliances), just like pictures, and No, because the apartment is way better in real life.
Thanks again Luis!
Our apartment (#7) on Via Gariballdi was just fine. The apartment opened on to an inner courtyard with 3 or 4 tiers of catwalks circling the buildings. Airy sunny and quiet. The location was convenient with easy access to ponte Sixto and the old city. Our host Luis met us on arrival and was anxious to make our stay enjoyable. Oriented us to the neighborhood before leaving us on our own. One suggestion: clarify the address so that the apartment number is not seen as an extension of the house number. Not 147 but 14 apt 7.
Luis' apartment was located in gorgeous Trastevere. The area is full of great bars and restaurants and walking distance to all major attractions.
The apartment itself was cozy but very clean and nice and quiet and secure. The shower was tight but that is to be expected in Rome.
We recommend this apartment to anyone looking to explore Rome.
This was a lovely clean apartment ideally situated in a quiet street in Boho Trastevere. All the arrangements with Luis were fine, he was there when we arrived and organised transport to and from the airport and waited with us till it arrived on departure. We had a minor appliance problem which he sorted immediately. We would stay there again.
This apartment is in a perfect location in trastevere, close to lots of bars and restaurants but in a quiet street. We walked to all the main landmarks in rome during our 4 night stay. It has a well equipped kitchen for a 1 bedroom apartment and it was very clean and tidy. The only downside is that the bathroom is very small. Luis was very friendly and I would recommend this to a couple for a few nights stay in rome.
We enjoyed our trip to Rome and the cozy apartment we rented made the trip so very special. The apartment is small, but very well furnished, meticulously clean and so comfortable for the 4 of us. The location was perfect, with wonderful access to many restaurants and cafes. Lots of walking....but that's Rome. We loved Trastevere! Thank you Louis and August for all your guidance. Grazie.
