About This Listing
Beautiful Artist’s duplex house.
The bedrooms are large, sunny and open on a quiet tree lined-block. Each bedroom is equipt with fresh linens, towels, a/c, a queen size bed and a sitting area. There is also a very nice double mattress queen sized air mattress and a couch for sleeping on. One of the bedrooms also has a bathroom (with no shower).
This colorful house is located on 11th Street in Park Slope Brooklyn. It is furnished with eclectic vintage and antique furniture and is decorated with an array of art from the turn-of-the century to the present. The 1950’s style eat-in kitchen has a dishwasher, space in the refrigerator, many cooking tools and spices. The apartment includes high-speed wireless Internet, washer/dryer and beautiful garden. DOGS ARE WELCOME.
The neighborhood in what many consider to be one of the most desirable neighborhoods in all of New York City borders and Gowanus, Carroll Gardens and Red Hook (which are all very interesting areas). Park Slope is filled with grocery stores, banks, coffee shops, bars, music venues, several excellent restaurants and 2 farmer's markets. I will provide a list of the many restaurants in my neighborhood which include Japanese, Thai, Mexican, Indian, French, Italian and local and seasonal American cuisine.
The house is also a 5 minute walk from Prospect Park and a ten minute subway ride to the Brooklyn Museum and Botanical Gardens. The F, G and R trains are just a block and two blocks away. The F, G and R trains take you directly to a lot of neighborhoods in Brooklyn and Manhattan (which is a 20 min ride). They are also easy transfers to 2, 3, 4, 5, Q, D and B trains. Parking is relatively easy in this neighborhood
I am a glass artist and have a studio in Gowanus, which is very close to my home. I spend a lot of time in this neighborhood and have many suggestions of things to take advantage of in the vicinity. I will provide you with some homemade snacks for your stay and coffee and tea in the morning.
I require a $200 cash security deposit (taken out by airbnb). 100% of deposit is refunded, provided everything is intact. Also, my very nice housekeeper ensures that you have a clean room when you arrive. This cleaning fee is included in the cost of your room.

Thanks for looking!
We went to NYC for a girls weekend and after some searching we thought Erica's apartment would perfect for our needs during our stay and boy we were right! The apartment was nice, very unique and spacious enough for 6 girls to hang out, sleep and get ready. Erica was very welcoming and made herself available yet also made us feel at home. She was very accommodating and flexible to checking in and out of the apartment and told us to contact her anytime with questions we had. When we first checked in Erica met us and gave us a tour of the apartment as well as showed us where we could find extra TP, paper towels and other necessities. She also left us a list of 'things to know' about the neighborhood and area like her favorite restaurants, bars, other places of interest in the area, numbers for cabs, etc. The neighborhood was amazing. The apartment was in close walking distance to the subway (2 blocks away), as well as many great bars, restaurants and bodegas. It is located about a mile away from Portage Park, which we walked to and picnicked at one day during our stay. We loved that the apartment had 1.5 baths (a saving grace for 6 girls) and the air mattress was awesome to sleep on. We all would recommend Erica's apartment for any group of ladies who are planning a girls weekend to NYC!
Erica's home was perfect for our group of 7 women! It had all of the amenities we needed (kitchen, 2 bathrooms, enough seating in the living room, dishwasher, enough dishes/silverware, big fridge, 2 beds+very nice air mattress+long couch for sleeping and a large garden area where we could sit and drink coffee in the morning) and it was also a 4-min walk to the subway - and a 30 min ride on the train to Times Square. We also walked all around Brooklyn exploring flea markets, the Brooklyn Bridge area, Williamsburg, Prospect Park and Park Slope. Erica's apartment was clean and looked just as the pictures show. Her artwork is so creative and made us feel like we were staying in a fun and funky museum - it was great. She was prompt in responding to our questions and was able to be flexible about a meet up time to hand off the key. Thanks Erica!
Malgré une maison située dans une rue tranquille et proche du métro beaucoup de choses sont à améliorer .
This was a great location in a residential neighborhood in Brooklyn. Large comfortable rooms. We slept very well! Near the subway. We enjoyed the artistic décor. Erica was very accommodating with our check-in and check-out times. We hope we can stay there again.
Excellent location, very close to the subway stop. The home is like an art studio, so not suitable for clumsy people or young children. It was very clean, neat and quiet. We would stay there again.
