The Space

Beautiful double bedroom and a stunning Georgian house with sea views . The master bedroom is a large en suite, there are also two extra cosy single rooms perfect for a family of four. The house is located only 25 minutes from the center of Dublin via the DART metro, five minutes walk to beach and 15 min walk to Dalkey historical village with many great cafes bars & restaurants.

We provide breakfast in the stunning drawing room or conservatory.

We are always around and delighted to assist you in any way.

The coastal areas of Killiney are often favourably compared to the Bay of Naples in Italy. This comparison is reflected in the names of surrounding roads, like Vico, Sorrento, Monte Alverno, San Elmo, and Capri. On clear days, the Mourne Mountains of County Down can be seen. Killiney Hill Park was once part of the estate of Killiney Castle, now a hotel. Since early 2010 a pod of bottlenose dolphins has been seen regularly in Killiney Bay.[citation needed]

Dalkey (Irish: Deilginis, meaning "thorn island") is a suburb of Dublin and seaside resort just south of Dublin City, Ireland. It was founded as a Viking settlement and became an important port during the Middle Ages. In modern times, Dalkey has become a thriving seaside suburb and a minor tourist attraction. It has been home to many writers and celebrities including Maeve Binchy, Hugh Leonard, Bono and Van Morrison.

Dalkey is famous for its award winning Pubs and Restaurants. Dalkey's main street, Castle Street, has a 10th Century church and two 14th Century Norman castles, one of which houses The Heritage Centre. There are numerous scenic and historical walks and tours. Free tourist maps are available from shops in the town and at Dalkey Castle. Dalkey Hill offers spectacular views over Dublin City, Dublin Bay and the Dublin and Wicklow Mountains. Deilg Inis Living History Theatre Company run live theatre performances every half hour at Dalkey Castle and Heritage Centre. Boats are available to hire at Bulloch Harbour on Harbour Road and Yacht trips around Dalkey Island can be taken from nearby Dun Laoghaire Harbour. Dalkey Quarry is a very popular rock climbing and abseiling venue. Killiney Hill is a popular launch site for para-gliders, the wind coming in off the sea offers good lift.

  • A beautiful part of Dublin. It's 25 minutes on the DART into the city centre. It's quite the walk back from the station to the house as its a very steep walk. The house is a charming old house and it's a nice place to stay for a few nights. A busy family home, with plenty of character. The main bedroom is beautiful.

  • It was our last 2 nights in Ireland and we had the GREAT chance to book TJ's rooms. What a fantastic experience! A beautifull victorian house, a gorgeous room looking over the bay with a large and comfotable antique bed and overall a very nice, sweet and interesting and generous host who took really care of us, with delicate gifts and good advices. We highly recommend the B&B of TJ-Tracy who will do her best to make your stay more than agreable: a unique experience. Tracy Let us see you soon Tracy!

  • Although we arrived late in the evening, we had a warm welcome. Tracey was very helpful in explaining us the neighborhood. The house is very nice and spacious. From our room we had a magnificent view to the sea and Wicklow mountains. The DART station is just a 10 minute walk away, hence there is a good connection to Dublin city center. We can recommend Tracey's lovely home highly.

  • TJ has a lovely house situated in the coastal hills of (website hidden) was away but Caroline, her nanny, was welcoming and accomodating. The master BR has great views and is spacious. The smaller room shared by my adult sons was a bit tight, but doable. We cabbed to Dalkey and had dinner at the Dispensary followed by drinks at Finnegan's and a walk about - lovely time. Each day we took the DART into Dublin - easy. Be aware that you might want to take taxi to TJ's. Half of the 8-10 min. walk from the DART to her house is uphill. We would definitely stay here again.

    Response from Tj:

Thank you Kathy , thank you for the lovely review.

I am so glad you enjoyed your stay. Dalkey is great fun!

The single room is a decent size but may have seemed tight due to the guest bed I put in for no extra charge. Sorry , there is nothing I can do about the hills :( But happily our high location does give spectacular views.

You were ideal guests and hope you will stay (website hidden)

  • Staying at Tj´s was marvellous! The house is beautiful and the garden equipped with a table and chairs so we could sit outside having breakfast. Spacious bathrooms were clean and the beds were comfortable so we could get good nights of sleep. The area is quiet (email hidden) up the hill gives you the opportunity to grab some dinner and have a ginnues or two in a 5 min walking distance.
The DART train going forth and back to Dublin comes every 5-10 min. A bus going to and coming from the airport every half an hour. Both are easy to obtain.
When I arrived Tj was already off to Paris with her kids.Still she would trust us taking care of her house for a few days. Thanks a lot for that!! My parents got to meet her the day before and told me that she was really nice and very obliging .
We had a great time! ...and Tj: The fish was fed and plants watered ;-)
All the best for you and your family,

    The Ottos
