About this listing
Hi and thanks for checking out my listing. I'm a very friendly and hospitable person and you will feel very welcome in my home. I came from a large family and have four kids (all out of the house). I love meeting people from different parts of the country and world.
I live in a 110 year old farmhouse on 2 acres in Southeast Boulder. I have two Golden Retrievers, Max and Malie, who are friendly and loving. There's a downstairs bedroom and bathroom. The bed is a large full bed and there is a twin mattress underneath that can be rolled out for a third person/child. There's a hot tub out in the field to relax in and star gaze at night. In warmer months, there's a huge treehouse with sky chairs to hang out and enjoy a glass of wine or read a book. There's a zipline from the treehouse to my guest house (this is also available to stay in if you want something larger and with more privacy). You're welcome to use the kitchen for small meals. There's a washer/dryer available (please provide your own laundry detergent).
The location is great because it's only 10 minutes by car to downtown Pearl Street and 25 minutes to downtown Denver. There's a hiking/biking trail right across the street. You can ride this path downtown and many other areas in Boulder as well. There's also an RTD bus stop right across the street.
2 acres in Boulder is hard to find. There's a wonderful spacious feeling to the property. I've lived in Boulder for almost thirty years and am a great resource for restaurants, hikes, entertainment, etc. I also know the Denver area fairly well and can help you out with that too.
Great views of the Flatirons from my property. Overall, an ideal place to stay while you're exploring the city of Boulder or working here temporarily. Looking forward to meeting you!
The kitchen for small meals and the laundry room (must provide own laundry detergent).
Interaction with Guests
I have a busy life. I'm very friendly to my guests and give them the space that they need as well as mine.
Bus line is right across the street.
The RTD bus system is very reliable.
We can work out reasonable hours of coming and going or anything else that may come up.
Our experience was just fabulous, it is a great place to be, and for us was an important part of our trip.
The facilities are amazing beautiful and very well care and maintained.
Beautiful atmosphere and Great GOOD Vibration.
Really nice place--large, comfortable room. The outdoor space was great as well. Mary was welcoming and informative about the area. And the dogs were very friendly and sweet! The house is on the outskirts of Boulder, but it doesn't take long to drive to the city center.
Book this place now! The house is beautiful and inviting. Mary is a warm and gracious host (allowed me to cook and "host" a belated Christmas dinner for my daughter and her boyfriend). Max and Malie are, as another reviewer put it, "total love buckets" (and completely well-behaved.
I come to Boulder 2-3 times a year to visit my grown daughter, and I've used Airbnb for the last 3 visits. While they've all been positive experiences, I have to say Mary's place is my favorite, hands down! We just felt so at home here.
My only (tiny) issue was the smallness of the bathroom in relation to the largeness of my rear end. Using the toilet was a little cramped for my taste, but nothing I couldn't deal with, and nothing that people with normal-sized butts have to worry about. Otherwise, this place was ideal!
Don't (email hidden)ok this place now!
This was our first time using AirBNB and I don't think we could have picked a better place to stay for our first time! Mary was so easy to be around, she was very welcoming and gave us the perfect balance of space and company. The room was super comfortable and we definitely had enough privacy. One of our favorite parts of the stay was hopping in Mary's hot tub at night and looking at the beautiful moon and stars. We would most definitely stay with Mary again!
Mary was very welcoming and provided us great recommendations for restaurants and hiking trails.
The room was clean and nice, and we could use kitchen for breakfast and meals.
The location is very nice: very quiet but close to Boulder too.
The room is beautiful and clean. The locations was good for us, though it is about 10 minutes from downtown, but we liked the quiet. The host, Mary, is very sweet, cheerful and nice. Her two dogs are very friendly. We had a little bit of a difficulty with the idea that the bathroom might be shared with some of the host's private clients, as it was a rather small bathroom and were not sure if we could leave our bathroom supplies there. We have not done airbnb before, so we thought we might have some more privacy (just like regular bnb houses section off part of the house for the guests). This was more of a cohabitation situation. We shared kitchen with the host and bathroom (potentially) with her private clients. As a preference, we would go for something more private next time.

About the Host, Mary
I've lived in Boulder for almost 30 years and raised my four children here, all who live independently. I have two Golden Retrievers who are friendly and loving. I love my family, friends, home and meeting new people. I love to hike and cycle.
I'm a very friendly and hospitable person. I've traveled extensively and appreciate all the different places I've stayed and relationships I've built. Those who come into my home feel welcomed and at ease. My home is a 110 year old farmhouse on 2 acres. It is a wonderful spot that is close to so many things...Denver, the Pearl Street Mall (downtown Boulder), the foothills, Eldora ski area and hiking/biking trails are across the street. I feel very blessed in my life and enjoy seeing others enjoy the wonderful space I've created for myself (with the help of my children).
