The Space

This apartment is totally independent and not shared with anyone.

We are located 15 minutes direct by bus to Manhattan/Times Square.

If you were to stay in the Bronx it would take you 40 min to get to Times Square. If you were to Stay in Brooklyn it would take you the same amount of time as subways in Brooklyn are not direct. If you were to stay in Manhattan you would not find a place as big as this one for this price.

There are many buses going direct to the City in the heart of Times Square. 24/hrs bus services to the City. The bus stop is just around the corner from the house.

Transportation is probably underrated. There are about 3 -4 major bus routes which go along the cliff coming into port authority in about 20 min. There is a free bus to a ferry at the bottom of the cliff which comes round every 10 min. There are also the little jitney buses which come around every few minutes get you into town. So across the official NJ Transit, the little jitney buses and the ferry you can get into town at any time within about 20 min. Oh yes there is another bus into hoboken from boulevard east (road on the cliff) as well.

The apartment is an independant 2 bedroom located on the 3rd floor of a Familly house.
It is equiped with bed linens, towel and private bath.

THERE IS NO KITCHEN to cook but there is a little area with Microwave, Coffee machine, and a frigde.

There are many little restaurant near the house.

The house is located a block away from Avenue East when you will see breathtaking views of the City. Best panoramic view if you ask me.

  • I absolutely loved my experience. When I arrived, Andres answered the door and Stephania showed me up to the apartment. Its a 3rd floor walk-up, so I got my exercise. The apartment is exactly as shown in the pictures. 2 super clean bedrooms, both with a queen size bed and futon. Both rooms had a window A/C and TV. The beds were super comfortable. Each had 4 pillows and clean sheets.

It was very hot and humid while I was there, so I was glad for the A/C. The only bummer is that there is no A/C in the bathroom, so that got a little stuffy. Turning on both units with the doors open cooled the place pretty nicely though.

There was a stainless steel mini-fridge, clean coffee pot with filters, toaster and microwave. There are paper plates and cups, and a few pieces of silverwear. It had everything I need.

There is a really nice grocery store about 3 blocks away. A small city-sized store, but had everything! I was impressed that I could easily find healthy, organic food so easily.

The view from Boulevard East is amazing. With the hill, cliffs and great little houses, I felt like I was in San Francisco. The park along the river runs several miles with many little benches to rest. There is a playground just down the street for little kids, and a dog park, tennis courts and basketball court.

Bus rides in to Manhattan were super easy. We used the stop at 62nd street. All buses go into Times Square, so it was idiot-proof. I highly recommend coming back on the "private buses" on 42nd street across from Port Authority. Miyoko and a friend both recommended these. They are located on 42nd street between 8th and 9th right in front of Dunkin Donuts. There are no signs, but you just ask the driver to confirm they're going to Boulevard East. Just yell "next stop" when you want to get off. Rides to/from Manhattan to the apartment took about 10-15 minutes.

Overall it was a great experience and I would definitely stay there again!

  • Clean, quiet, and cozy place. I had a super comfortable stay. Perfect for well deserved R&R after a hectic day in the city. Transportation just around the corner. Will surely book again when visiting NYC. Prompt responses and clear directions from the hostess are a plus. 5 stars.

  • A very nice place to stay in new jersey. The apartment is clean and quiet. The host is very kind and helpful. The price is fair. There're bus lines nearby but I didn't take that advantage since I was driving. Overall I recommend this place.

  • Great two bedroom with bath, fridge, and coffee machine. Overall, we were very happy with our stay because of the flexibility. We were set to fly out on Tuesday evening but our flight was canceled due to weather. We ended up staying at the apartment until 10pm to grab a late shuttle and sleep in the airport but could have stayed another night. Miyoko was very helpful and always reachable.
    - $3 shuttle to Manhattan/Port Authority
    - $9 ferry to Brooklyn
    - great view of the city
