Our stay at Kathryn's place was awesome! It was a perfect and comfortable size for the two of us and we felt very welcomed. Although it was 90+ degrees out, the apartment was super breezy and still comfortable to stay in. It's conveniently placed near the subway lines and the nei…

Kathryn made us feel at home right away! The apartment was ideal for the two of us--clean, comfortable, and perfectly situated. It's ideal for anyone who wants to have a peaceful, Brooklyn-based stay in New York but still have easy access to Manhattan. The Q train was super handy…

The apartment is well positioned between Prospect Park and Parkside subway stops (approx 10 min walk to either, service of the Q and R trains; the Q being an express thru the city). The building is just far enough from the main street to offer a quiet respite and seemed very secu…

Kate's apartment was unacceptable unclean. Especially the kitchen was totally dirty. There were undefinable splashes and hairs! in the fridge. The transparent shower curtain was so dirty that it wasn't even possible to see through it. At least there were a lot of urine splash…

Response from Kathryn:
This review is so idiotic and exaggerated as to barely merit a response. This couple manufactured complaints out of whole cloth in order to get out of my (primarily African-American and Caribbean) neighborhood. They were clearly distressed when they arrived at the front door, after having walked through the neighborhood. They are back in Germany now and hopefully they will stay there. But if they come back, host them at your own peril.

Super-relaxed 40 something female. Enjoy traveling, cycling, painting. I love the idea of making personal connections which Airbnb fosters, even if it's a one time thing only.
