The Space

A very silent, cozy 2br apartment in the heart of the Isola neighborhood - a bustling artsy area just a few minutes from the center.

The flat has a fully furnished kitchen with all usual appliances plus washing/drying machine and orange juicer (a must in damp Milan winters); a newly redesigned bathroom with a spacious shower and new, soft towels; a big living-room with hardwood floors, a sofa-bed, and a rich, ever-changing library for bookcrossers or bored travellers. The bedroom has a king-sized bed with many pillows. All the flat has wi-fi Internet access.

Bedroom and living room are separate but there is no door between them; the flat is ideal for a couple, eventually with kids, but can accomodate four with no trouble at all. Cats are very very welcome, dogs unfortunately are not allowed by house regulations.

The kitchen has everything you need for breakfast (several teas, coffee, and both American and Italian coffee machines); there's also enough to fix a quick dinner - instant soup, pasta sauce, pasta, rice - in case you need it. The equipment allows for more elaborate cooking (a passion of mine) but you'll have to shop for groceries - perhaps in the nearby 0-km street market, on Sat and Tue.

The Isola neighborhood is full of bars, vintage shops and small restaurants: from cheap, mom-and-pop trattorias to high-end fusion and everything in between - you'll find a list of suggestions when you get in.

There are two nearby subway lines (no. 2 and 3) and by public transit you can get everywhere in no more than 30 mins (15 to Duomo or Cadorna, 10 to the Central Station). If the weather's nice you can get to the Duomo with a 30-min stroll through the park (or you can rent a bike, and park it in the courtyard).

  • アパートは広く綺麗です。アパートの場所も中央駅から近く交通の便も良いです。階段の利用が大変ですがまぁそれを含めてもすばらしいアパートです。ミラノ観光には大変便利です。皆様にご利用をお勧めします。

  • Vincenzo was a great host - he was VERY good at communication and at accommodating our last minute reservation. The apartment is close to the train and the Isola neighborhood is quaint. The apartment was easy to manage.

  • Staying at Vincenzo's apartment was both comfortable and affordable. The apartment is well equipped and spacious. We stayed for a week and had a lovely time.

  • We enjoyed our stay in this spacious, bright (lots of natural light) apartment. The open floor plan made it feel roomy for four people. The host is well organized, communicated with us very quickly, provided excellent directions (airport and train station), and offered many suggestions for excellent restaurants in the immediate vicinity. We tried, and loved, several of them. We enjoyed the neighborhood with street markets on the weekend, plentiful bakeries, shopping, etc. This apartment is a tremendous value, and I'd recommend it to friends traveling to Milan.

  • Great appartment in a nice neigbourhood around como corso. Vincenzo was a very good host and make sure everything was arranged with housekeeping, keys etc. We had a very nice stay during deisgnweek 2013 Milan. Only thing you have to know is that the apartment is on the 4th floor with a lot of stairs you have to climb. If you don't mind that you have to carry your suitcase up to this wonderfull appartment you have a very pleasant stay.

  • Vincenzo is a great host. He was very organized and gracious. He responded to e-mails promptly and made sure everything was in order before our stay. His apartment is clean, comfortable, and has a nice location. The photos and description of the apartment are accurate, so you can be confident that you are booking a good place.
    Thank you Vincenzo.

  • We spend a great weekend in this wonderfully furnished appartment! The Isola area is a very nice neighborhood, specially for young people with nice bars, cafes and (extremly good) pizzarias! Everything went without any problems!

I'm a novelist and translator fleeing snowy Italy to warm, sunny Berlin. Sort of. I've lived in pretty much any kind of accommodation and know what a cozy, well-furnished place can do to a short- or mid-term stay. I'm trying to get the guts to go spend some long period of time in Japan, but hide behind witty references to "feeling at home only in Europe", in the meantime. You know how that is.
