Ski/summer condo located in The Aspens, just 5 miles from Jackson Hole Mountain Resort and an entrance to Grand Teton National Park in one direction and 7 miles from downtown Jackson in the other direction.

The space

This 3 bedroom, 2 full-bath condo in the Aspens is the perfect vacation rental for a family or group wishing to experience all that the Jackson Hole Area has to offer.

The condo comfortably sleeps 7 and is beautifully furnished in a Western ski cabin style. There is a fireplace in the living room. Two of the bedrooms each have a queen size bed. The third “loft style” bedroom looks out over the living room and has a bunk bed and a pull-out trundle bed. Both full bathrooms have a shower, and one of the two has a Jacuzzi tub. The condo has a fully equipped kitchen, as well as cable, internet, and a washer and dryer in unit. Sheets and towels are provided. The open floor plan and large windows with views of the mountains provide incredible natural light. There is plenty of storage space for ski equipment in the winter and bikes and inner tubes in the summer. There are also 2 private decks for reading, eating, and barbequing outside on sunny summer days.

Just 5 minutes from Jackson Hole Mountain Resort in Teton Village and the entrance to Grand Teton National Park, the condo is the perfect location for skiing, hiking, biking, fishing, and wildlife viewing. Only 15 minutes in the other direction, the town of Jackson offers great shopping, restaurants, rodeos, and nightlife for an authentic Western experience. The public START bus is just a three-minute walk from the front door and provides transportation to and from the base of the ski mountain for just $1 each way. The START bus also provides transportation to and from the town of Jackson for $3 each way. The condo is also a very short walk to a grocery store, coffee shop, and many fantastic restaurants, including sushi, Austrian, pizza, and BBQ.

Interaction with guests

I live in CA where I am a resident physician. However, both my parents and grandparents live nearby the condo so that when I am not in town, they are available to help. I provide guests with my recommendations for activities and restaurants in the area when they make the booking.

Our family of five (grown kids, ages 24, 20, & 17) stayed at Grace's four nights in early August while visiting Grand Teton & Yellowstone NP's. Her condo is located just off Moose Wilson Road, which makes for easy access to the town of Jackson (15 minute drive) while being away from all the tourist hustle-bustle. Everything was very clean and in working order and the beds were comfortable. The downstairs living area was so welcoming and encouraged family togetherness with its high ceilings and comfy long couches. There is a full bathroom downstairs. We really appreciated the brand-new Kenmore washer & dryer after long days of hiking. I do not agree with a previous reviewer who commented the condo is "dated and in need of a full makeover". It is in Wyoming, not Beverly Hills, and the rustic (in a positive connotation), Western vibe of the interior is perfectly suited. From the downstairs living area there is a short flight of stairs that leads to a second level with one bedroom and a second full bath. Then there is another very short flight of stairs leading to two more bedrooms. One of these two bedrooms is a loft (not a full loft, but there is a long cut-out in the wall so that one can look down to the living area below). Our daughters loved that aspect and it made for easy communication when my husband or I needed to talk to them from downstairs, but it is good to keep in mind if guests have vastly different sleeping/waking hours. There is a great coffee shop (Elements) and very nice grocery store with attached wine shop within short walking distance. The coffee shop conveniently opens at 6:30 AM. We were there every morning as soon as they opened, since our tour guide came to pick us up at 7 AM. As for the wine shop, it has a great & extensive selection. Many Jackson restaurants will open a bottle for a reasonable corkage fee, which can save a considerable amount of $. We loved our stay at Grace's and would return in a heartbeat!

Grace was a gracious host whomade excellent recommendations. If you are staying with a full family in the heat of the summer, it is a little warm in the loft room, but was manageable with the fans that were there. The space over all is excellent, comfortable, and clean. An excellent choice and super convenient to both jacksonand Grand Teton National Park. Wish we could have stayed longer!

For proximity to Jackson, Teton Village and the National Park, this place is great. And the owner is very responsive and cared enough to provide info and recommendations. But, overall, for the price point, the place is outdated and in need of a full makeover. Tired and worn, with uncomfortable beds and sub-par linens. And no true outside space to enjoy the area’s natural beauty. This could be an outstanding base camp for exploring the area, but instead is a let down after a day outside.

Had a nice visit with my family to Grace's condo! Communication with Grace was very easy. The dishwasher and W&D were replaced during our stay and she was very accommodating. Neighborhood is quiet, but is close to a nice grocery store (Aspens Market) and a great local coffee shop (Elevated Grounds). The condo had 2 fully private bedrooms (each with Queen sized beds) and one (mostly private) loft with a bunk bed (double bed bottom and twin on top). Even though the loft was open to living room below, the high partial wall made it feel private. The condo was comfortable and made a good home base for our daily hikes and exploring of the Jackson Hole area. We would certainly consider renting again if we were back in the area.
