About This Listing
Discover Paris staying in a charming and typically 17th century old Parisian flat with its authentic beams and stones.
Ideally located in the very heart of Paris in the famous Arty, Literary and Jazzy Saint-Germain-des-Prés area.
It is a charming and typically Parisian flat with its beams and stones.
Amazing location to make the most of your stay in Paris as it is central, next to Notre Dame, Louvre, the river and the Pont des Arts.
One room is available. It's a charming and cute bedroom with a single bed.
The bedroom is in the quietest part of the flat which is quiet also. One of its 4 walls is a heavy curtain that keeps your space really private but the room is in a quiet place and it has never been a problem to any of previous (website hidden).
There is a single bed and an extra mattress if there is a second person.
We are looking forward to welcome you and make you turn our flat into your lovely Parisian cocoon.
Silvia and Maël :)
We are used to leaving with other people from other cultures and countries and have always got on well with our (website hidden). We have travelled as much as possible and are easy going.
Ein wunderschöner Urlaub, mitten in Paris im Künstlerviertel. Wir waren sehr zufrieden mit der Unterbringung!
This flat is in a fabulous part of Paris. Plenty of little shops, bars and restaurants in the immediate area. Many of the sights of Paris are within walking distance. Very close to a Metro station (the Metro system is extensive and easy to use). Despite its central location, it's very quiet and I had a great nights sleep on both nights that I stayed.
The room is as you see it in the photo: small. but for a couple of nights it's fine.
The listing says that one room is available, but actually the room below was also let out. With the hosts, that means five people in the flat, but we didn't get in each other's way so it was fine.
The flat is being refurbished and the kitchen and bathroom are temporary. Also, there is no lounge but given the great location it was nice to relax after a day's sightseeing in one of the many local cafes. The flat is on the third floor and the winding stairs are not easy to negotiate with heavy luggage and would not be suitable for anyone who has a mobility problem.
Once finished it will be a beautiful flat, but for now be aware that it's somewhat makeshift and cramped, although fine for a short visit.
Of course, this is all reflected in the price, which for this part of Paris is very good value. I stayed on a Sunday and Monday night, so I didn't see much of Silvia or her partner, although I was given tips on where to go as soon as I arrived, as well as a map which proved to be essential.
The room is very cozy, small and gives you a feeling af being in a cave. Lovely welcome and hospitality. And placed in an absolutely lovely area of Paris. I would live there again If i go Back.
My 10-year old absolutely loved it. With all the stuff and things to look at.
I am glad i am not taller than 167 - as i nearly touched the ceeling with my head.
Thanx for a lovely time
- great price for such a great location in the 6th arrondissement
- rental bikes in front for cheap transportation
- good wifi reception
- bed is pretty comfortable
- no elevator which can be tough with luggage
- under renovation so dusty
- low ceiling in bedroom
- bathroom shared with hosts + guests in the lower rented room
Sylvia and Mael are very nice Parisians. They welcomed us with helpful local information -- maps, brochures, guides, and answered many questions about how to see Paris. The flat IS small, a 3rd floor walk up, and the bedroom IS truly a cocoon, -- we couldn't stand up fully (I"m 5' 7"). We appreciated using their washing machine, and hung our clothes to dry. We didn't realize that they also rent a second room, so we were sharing the flat with others, including a few days also with their visiting family. But everyone was very considerate and able to share the one bathroom. They are in the midst of an expansion/remodel (fascinating to see in a 400 year old building!), so the bathroom and kitchen are somewhat temporary. The only sink is in the bathroom, the shower head is not mounted, and just a hot plate and electric kettle. However, the location is fantastic for walking to Notre Dame, the Louvre, D'Orsay, and strolls along the Seine. Despite the small space, a little more dust and clutter than we cared for, we enjoyed our stay in their flat, living with and like real Parisians.
