Jessic wrote: “We had a perfect stay at the farm and this helped to make our trip to Venice unforgettable. It is just one bus from Mestre station so not difficult to get to and the countryside was a really nice break from the hectic tourism of the city. The wagon is not your usual caravan - it was cosy, well-equipped and stocked with coffee and good appliances. But the best thing about the place was the people who worked there. Maurizio and Mohammad were extremely kind and open people, preparing amazing homegrown meals for us, leaving bicycles for us to use. Thanks to Maurizio we even had a magical trip to the mountains, the best day of the trip- as my boyfriend discovered some of his family heritage! If you are interested in getting to know local people, practising some Italian and exploring beautiful countryside then I thoroughly recommend to you. Grazie per tutte Maurizio e ci vidiamo nel futuro! ” june 2016

I stayed in a room here and the value for the price was incredible. I had my own bathroom with a good shower and the room was spacious and clean. The only problem with this place would be the location. If you are staying here looking to spend most of your trip on the island of Venice, just be aware that this place is a bike ride to the nearest bus stop and then commonly two buses to get onto the island. It's a bit of a hike but very manageable for the price.

Maurizio's house is really nice, it's a bit far from Venice (approximately 45 minutes to get to Venice) but it's so nice to come to it after a long day of visiting a crowded city! It's in a very peaceful location, and the house itself is great. It's also a great way to meet people who are also staying there, I definitely had an awesome time there!

If you want to wake up in the beautiful country side with a mystical white pony in front of your room standing under the bleu pink flowers, this is the place to be. Nice garden, beautiful people who care for animal and nature, info on all your questions is provided and a nice big room with clean sheets and towels, a electric fire for cooking... very good value and a warm hearted - welcome.

A farm outside of the outside of Mestre, you have to cycle 10 mins( in a good day without lost) every morning to catch the bus to central station then the tram to Venice, basically nobody in the lil town speaks English, but they are very friendly ladies and gentlemen, even as a solo traveller I felt so lost in translation all the time and sometimes isolated, but you know ppl would try their best to help you if you need. At the beginning I thought it's hilarious and unbelievable cz I've never seen an actual farm in my life and I couldn't believe I came all the way from the other side of the world to live in an Italian farm and see the animals I'm not sure what it is (it's lovely Virginia), the reception man(I apologise I forgot his nameso bad at names) is like 85-yr-old and he look so angry every time he calls my name. but it only took not even one day for me to fall in love with the organic living and became good friends with 8-year-old pony Virginia and 5-year-old doggy Falco, and, the cute reception gentleman, I asked him does he hate me he said he loves me and he gave me a smile!! my heart melted❤️. Maurizio is responsive most of the time, Rodika is an amazing sweet lady. This is a precious special experience.

I arranged a transfer from the airport and I was met on time coming out of the airport which was great. The room was perfect for me. It was clean and was warm enough. I wasn't around the house much as I was leaving early and coming back late but Maurizio was kind enough to show me around the local area and explain some of its history. It's very easy to get around from this house. It's just a short walk/bicycle ride from the bus stop and you can get around cheap and easy from there.
