This lovely flat has its own character! It is well furnished, original designed and it will make you feel like Marlyn Monroe is with you!
The location is also superb! You will be very close to everywhere!
This lovely flat has its own character! It is well furnished, original designed and very central.
It is small, but has all you need during your vacation. You'll enjoy this cozy apartment!
It is a lovely flat with a great location. It is located between Çukurcuma and Cihangir, easy to walk İstiklal Street, Cihangir center, see shore (Tophane). An amazing area for the art lovers, because everywhere is full of antic shops, galeries and vintage shops.
I had a great experience at Soner's flat - it's basically an efficiency apartment: small, with no kitchen, but well decorated and great location. I had stayed in Istanbul a week beforehand, so I already knew the area - Beyoglu is the "cool" part of town, with hip shops, bars, and restaurants. It's walkable to all the major sites (although probably about a 30-45 minute walk to the farther ones).
They were very nice, and if I hadn't been to Istanbul already, I would have been fine - they gave me a number to have the taxi driver call so that they could meet me in what is a somewhat hidden side street. Only thing I would say is don't take the offer of a ride from the airport - it's only about 50 TL, which works out to about 23 dollars or 18 or so Euros - not worth the 30 euros they offer.
Thanks for the review Chris! I'm glad that you were happy with the apartment.
Almost all the transfer services offered by hosts & hotels are around 30 - 35€ because we are working with professional companies that set the prices. I definitely think that someone who knows Istanbul can take a taxi, which is a cheaper option. But for the guests who come İstanbul for the first time, the service is highly recommended notwithstanding the cost :)
We had a great time here in this small, but very cosy apartment. The location is superb in a quiet and nice street, but at the same time very close to the bustling part of Beyoglu. Nice coffe shops, cafes, vintage and interior shops right outside the door basically. The room was clean and comfortable.
Soner was a perfect host which arranged with pick-up from and bringing to the airport.
Soner and his team were very helpful and friendly. They even informed me about the location and the places I can visit during my stay. The room was literally as clean as my own bedroom and it is way better than staying in a hotel to stay in a room where you can feel as if it's your own space. I would definitely choose to stay in one of his flats if I ever have the chance to.
Also wirklich zu empfehlen!
Location of this apartment is fantastic. it is situated in the small quite pittoresque street with many restaurants and bars in the walking distance.
Room is small but it has all you need if you want to stay for a few days in istanbul. There is no kitchen but you have a fridge and a electric cattle to make yourself a coffee or a tea.
We stayed in December so the owner provided electric heater which helped a lot. there is also an air-condition that heat as well.
Nice little place in a great neighbourhood! The communication and the service was very good and the apartment was clean and cosy.
The flat was great and clean. The location is very nice too. The staff was accomodating and friendly.
Our 2-night stay in 49 Monroe was really great. The flat is very central to both Taksim and Cihangir, yet situated in relatively quiet Cukurcuma. This is one of our favorite neighborhoods with all of its antique stores and cafés. Great for strolling or meeting people.
Most importantly, the flat has a really comfortable bed where we slept like babies. Even the exam from the nearby Mosque isn't loud at all, surprisingly rather soft the one time we heard it. Maybe we were just lucky. Good shower with plenty of hot water, clean bathroom and towels.
Overall, I'd certainly recommend and stay again.
