With 1200 sq feet of downstairs space, you get your own bedroom, bathroom and large comfy TV room. The fenced-in double lot allows your furry kid to run free with no worries. Don't leave your dog at home when you visit Portland, stay with us! I'm one of few PDX AirBnB hosts that is fully short-term rental permitted, including passing a city inspection and have paid all fees to short-term rent.
You get a spacious private bedroom, private bathroom and private living room area. Feel free to use the kitchen or laundry room and be sure to hook up to the free high-speed WiFi.
Your rented bedroom has a comfy queen bed with a remote for lifting your tired feet or propping your head/back to read in bed. It also has a wonderful massage feature. Cold sleeper? Your bed is equipped with a heated mattress pad. Crank up your side for warmth while your mate’s side can be off.
Your bedroom has a personal fan, heater and a white noise machine (we all struggle with "new noises" at unfamiliar places). Your bathroom has a complementary set of basic toiletries and a blow dryer is available for your use.
Your living room area has a large HDTV with surround sound entertainment. You even get your own microwave, coffee maker, toaster oven, induction cooktop and mini-fridge to keep leftovers and your drinks cold!
Your basement suite is close to 1200 square feet in space! So much room!
The house has 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, large open kitchen, dining area, front room TV area and a total of 2600 square feet of space. It is a newly remodeled house, which means a brand new 2012 house sits on a 1912 foundation. Everything is 2012 new: carpet, furnace, water heater, windows, toilets, paint, all appliances...OMG like everything. To my taller guests: the basement suite has typical 7' ceilings everywhere but the main TV room where ceilings are 6' 5".
The garage/workshop is a whopping 1200 square feet and can store your bikes. You can park your vehicle in the garage, as well. Fire up the five burner gas grill/smoker and eat outside on the patio.
I have an adorable, super laid back, doggy ambassador Black Lab named Podji and we would be happy to add your doggie kids to the mix. Our double lot (hard to find in PDX!) is completely fenced in and ready for your pet to run around! Your furry kid is welcome here!
Your host is a middle school administrator who could make you laugh with some very funny stories. Nothing beats working with tweeners and teens! Due to my job, I'm up and out of the house pretty early and gone all school days.
One of the weekend days will have me up early and out the door by 8am for an all day hike. I am usually around evenings.
I am gay-friendly and look forward to sharing this spacious, cozy home with you.
Interaction with guests
I very rarely go downstairs when I have guests. The space is yours and I respect your privacy. I like meeting my guests near the beginning of their stay, but don't need to interact throughout your time with me.
Come and go as you please! If you need anything, please come up and ask or text/call.

Nobody likes rules. The only two expectations is to have respectful guests and for you to enjoy your stay. I want you to feel at home and be comfortable. Leave your chaotic and crazy world behind and come enjoy Portland!!
I purchased this amazing house the summer of 2012. It is a fabulous home and I am so excited to open it up to AirBnB friends. Hosting comes naturally as I have had many friends and family over. Now I want to meet new folks from across the river to across the country and beyond!
I enjoy traveling and prefer to stay with locals in my quest for adventures. I feel renting a room is a key way to keep the cost of traveling/ living abroad low, raise your level of security, have the amenities that allow you to live more self-sufficient and conveniently, have more personal privacy, all while becoming more embedded within the local community that you are visiting.
