  • We were attending a wedding in Brooklyn and wanted to stay somewhere close to the sight, so we decided to try Airbnb. Adam's apartment was ideally located, within walking distance to the wedding and reception. It is also close to many good restuarants, etc. Adam was prompt in his communications and gave us detailed answers to our inquiries. Unfortunately his apartment made me feel like I was staying in my son's dorm room. The furniture that wasn't broken was soiled. The shower didn't drain adequately. The apartment door knob fell off and the lock set is in need of repair. There was someone's leftover food in the refrigerator. There was a thick layer of dust under the bed. I could go on. For the price, the apartment could use some serious updateing.

  • Great location, attentive host, recommended.

  • It was a treat to stay in Adam's home as a first stop in NY- somehow seeing the skyline from the lounge room window made us feel more inside NYC than actually staying in Manhattan- a constant reminder! Clean, tidy, great books, cupboards well stocked- everything we needed to make us feel at home. We would have stayed longer if it had been available. Great place and location for a couple- pushing it with a third person.

  • Adam was great. He was on time to meet me and very responsive the emails and texts. The apartment is exactly as pictured. It was very comfortable and clean. I also really liked the towels... Overall the building was very quiet and the heat was turned way up! I had to actually open a few windows, but it's better than being cold! I would definitely stay at Adam's again when I return for work. Thanks!

  • I already miss this place. I stayed here for almost a month, and it was glorious. I watched snow fall from my bedroom window, I looked out at the New York skyline from the living room, I watched a sunset from the (email hidden) was perfect. Close to lots of subway stops, lots of bars, brunch spots, and restaurants. A bodega on the corner for quick kitchen needs, and lots of little markets close by for more robust grocery shopping. I wish I could have stayed longer. Adam was gracious, communicative, helpful, funny, and friendly. Highly recommended.

  • This apartment is in a fantastic location and has a great view! Adam was helpful and available if needed. The building has lots of character and charm which does mean that the floors creak and sometimes the elevator gets stuck, but this didn't bother us. We had a great time staying here and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for accommodation in Brooklyn.

  • this place is great! really good transport links, clean, tidy, fantastic view of manhattan skyline, good wooden floors too. Adam really great to deal with too, picking up keys was fine, good communication beforehand. When we had trouble with the lock (totally our fault, lock is fine - think we we were a bit jet lagged!) he sorted us out immediately - THANKS ADAM!

  • Adam went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. The apartment is perfectly located, near the park, restaurants and several different subway lines. What you see in the pics is what you get. Bed was comfortable and everything was in working order. A great Brooklyn option.

  • Great flat and great location. We didn't need or want anything and Adam was flexible with check in time. Thanks xx

About
My name is Adam, I'm originally from Detroit, and have been living in Brooklyn since 1997. I've been in this Fort Greene apartment for the past 8 years. I work as a lighting designer and photographer. My girlfriend and I (we met in Fort Greene Park!) have recently had a child, and I've moved in to her place, just a few blocks away. We are renting out my apartment while we save enough money to buy a larger home together next year. We hope to share our little piece of Brooklyn as hosts to you and your family during your stay here!
