Everything worked out really well for us. Jeff was there to greet us, offer some coffee for the next day and we got to talk about music. The hidden secret is that there is a terrific art gallery and music venue below the apartment. We had a lovely breakfast and a take out lunch to bring to the beach. Thank you.
We stayed at the Craftsman House to catch up on sleep in between a long flight and a family visit, and it was the perfect choice. It was easily accessible from the airport, and Jeff was the perfect host, texting us to ask about our arrival and setting us up with delicious fresh ground coffee for the morning. The kitchen made it convenient to prepare meals. The studio apartment was quiet, comfortable, and private, and we enjoyed meeting the artist in residence in the morning as we explored the garden and the gallery. Don't miss Mazzarro's Italian Market, a mile or so away!
We loved Jeff's place! I surprised my husband with a trip to Florida and we couldn't have asked for a better location. I would definitely recommend visiting during the Art Walk (second Saturday of the month). There is a trolley that picks guests up literally outside of the Craftsman House since it's part of the walk. We saw a live glass blowing demo, shopped at some art studios, listened to great music and got to know the city a bit better. Jeff's place looks just like it does in the photos - he even ground up some fresh coffee for us to take to our room. There were lots of nice little touches along the way - from the handmade coffee mugs/plates to the map/suggestions of things to do in the area. We wish we had another couple days to spend in St. Pete. It took us about 15 minutes to drive to the beach where we spent all of our Sunday. It was a perfect trip. Thanks Jeff.
A great place in the middle of a vibrant art scene. The activity around the Craftsman House had great energy, and the apartment was private and secluded from that.
The place was clean, airy, and light filled. Jeff was very kind, present, and quick to respond. We had plenty of space, even with two children sleeping on the pull out couch.
Thanks very much!
We spent two nights in Jeff's studio apartment which is located above the Craftsmen Gallery off Central Avenue. The studio is nicely furnished with a workable kitchen and nearby restaurants. We were interested in a location that would allow us to explore Kenwood and this is it. The Gallery itself has an attached pottery studio that you can watch potters work in and the grounds host a cafe/restaurant and a mellow atmosphere. Jeff is an excellent host and happy to help you with recommendations and tips for visiting the surrounding area.
The premise were spotless and we are certain to return when visiting the area again.
Our host, Jeff was warm and inviting, upon arrival offering us a cup of coffee and some freshly ground beans for the following mornings. The Craftsman House was in a charming neighborhood that's undergoing gentrification, and has a lot of unique shops and restaurants in the surrounding area. It's in a great location, right off of the highway and on the local public transit trolley line, in between St. Petersburg Downtown and St. Pete Beach. Sitting on the front porch, we felt at home. The veggies burger, phenomenal carrot salad, smoothies & coffee were the best meal that we had all weekend. The apartment was great, very clean & spacious. Jeff's place was exactly as described in the Airbnb description, however we thought that the pictures didn't do it complete justice, it was warm and inviting, and had wonderful air conditioning, ventilation and all of the amenities worked perfectly.
The bed was quite comfortable and so was the couch! The atmosphere in the courtyard was really fun, we had the chance to meet & see potters working on the wheel and creating. We felt very safe and very comfortable. The locking fence door separating the courtyard from the street traffic really added to that feeling of security. Shopping in the Gallery we found perfect gifts for our families and friends back home. Overall it 5-star fantastic. We hope to return next year :) Thank you Jeff!!
The place is a small but beautiful studio apartment. The pull out couch is not the best, but the bed is comfortable. It is over the craftsman house which has amazing art and coffee. Jeff is a wonderful host. I would recommend to everyone. 5/5 stars
