This rustic room will make any outdoor enthusiast at home. It has a rustic log-pole queen bed with a Tempur-pedic mattress, which is a medium-firm. If you have additional guests for this booking, the Thorobred Room is across the hall and you will all use the Hawaii Bathroom next door.

The space

At the Marshall Stage Stop, we are "kid friendly", "dog/horse friendly" and "old people friendly" :-) Your host is Cyndy, a now re-purposed rancher from Eastern OR. The large sprawling single level farmhouse sits on 7 secluded acres 1/2 mile from Bend's city limits and Hwy 20. Built in 1940 and remodeled in 1970, it is very vintage with a western flair. There is lot's of elbow space, large lawns, patios, fire pit, hot tub, sauna, plenty of room for kids to run and play. The property, while only 1/2 mile north of Bend City limits, is very secluded and private. Surrounded by 80' Ponderosa Pines and Juniper trees. Close to shopping, restaurants, the Deschutes River Trail and Tumalo State Park. The house is 3 miles from downtown, 14 mile to RDM, 18 mile to Sisters and 25 miles from Mt Bachelor.

The Marshall Stage Stop offers four Bedrooms for rent. This Airbnb listing you are looking at is to reserve The Fishing Room. Which has a Tempur-pedic queen bed in a quaint rustic room with logpole furniture. It will make any outdoor enthusiast right at home. There is a full bath next door which is shared.

You will have the run of house, lawns and patios, we will do our best to give you your privacy. If you desire to do your own cooking and dine in or on the patio, you are welcome to full use of the kitchen, etc. I expect you to use my condiments... (butter, ketchup, spices...) Each bedroom has it's own designated mini fridge. I provide coffee via a Kuerig, tea and microwave popcorn. If you want to bring your own coffee, I am happy to set out a drip pot and grinder that you are welcome to use. You are welcome to make your own "Green Smoothie" in my BlendTec :-) The hot tub is available 24/7. After a day of adventure in Central Oregon there's nothing nicer than soaking in the hot tub under the stars, surrounded by 80' ponderosa pines with snow flakes melting on your nose or watching the falling stars and listening to the quiet...

I have a Pak & Play with a 3" mattress (portable crib) available for babies/toddlers.

WI-FI ~ We now have Hi Speed inet for your use. Sorry though, there are no TV's in the bedrooms, but that shouldn't be a problem though, as you are coming here to relax and play in Central Oregon's outdoors right ???

HORSES ~ You are welcome to bring your own horses whether you are passing through, here to explore the area or here to participate in a local equine event. The horse facilities aren't fancy, but they are secure and safe. The fee for horses would be $25.00 for the first 2, plus $10 for each additional for the length of your stay. You will provide your own feed.

I look forward to hosting you at The Marshall Stage Stop on your next visit to Central Oregon.

Guest access

You will be given a house key and a key to your bedroom door. You are welcome to come and go 24/7. You are welcome to use the sauna, hot tub, fire pit and BBQ at your leisure. If you desire, you have full access to our spacious kitchen. There is a mini frig for each guest room in the kitchen for your personal use.

Interaction with guests

I am available 24/7 for anything you may need and at the same time will give you as much space, privacy and freedom to enjoy our property.

Other things to note

We do have various wildlife that frequent the property, deer are quite regular guests. If you let your dogs off leash, bare in mind that they may be enticed to chase the deer, who will leave the property and may lead your dog into dangerous situation.

If you are bringing your canine family with you, upon arrival I ask that you keep them inside your vehicle until I greet you and show you where they should potty :-) The property is 7 acres, I only ask that you be vigilant to not allow them to pee or poop on my lawns. The rest of the property is fair game :-)

Cindy couldn't have been a better host. Took us in last minute & was able to accommodate us for 2 nights like we'd hoped. She was a super host. Literally thought of everything we might need. I think the icing on the cake was the pre packed bags of ice in the freezer for people like us who are camping in a tent most of the time and our food is in a cooler. The location is close to town & the house is clean & adorable. I didn't really want to leave haha next time in bend I will definitely stay there again.

My friend and I booked the bedroom literally a few hours before getting to Bend and Cyndy was very responsive. She also made herself available to wait to us since we were going to arrive late at night. Cyndy is the best! We stayed in the Cape Cod room, which was very clean and comfortable. The pictures are super accurate. The house is amazing and only 10 minutes away from downtown Bend. If I go to Bend again I'll definitely stay there. Highly recommended!

Candy is a very welcoming and accommodating host. She makes you feel right at home in her roomy house and grounds. Outside there's a patio, hot tub, gas fire pit, a little stream going by, and acreage. A very comfortable stay, including the lush towels and the mattress!
