The Space

Our quaint 1920s cottage is in a quiet leafy street with a cafe 5 doors up the road!
We have a double bedroom available for 1 or 2 guests.
The cottage is a 10 minute walk from the centre of Orange where there are galleries, cafes, award winning restaurants, shops, library and our regional theatre.
The cottage has a shared bathroom with a 2nd toilet in the laundry.
There is a possibility from time to time to rent the entire house when we are away.
It is two double bedrooms, a large study and a huge bathroom with large bath.
There is a modern kitchen, nice backyard, BBQ and undercover pergola area.
We have central heating and a wood fire.
There is ample street parking outside the front of the house.

  • Greg and I had a wonderful stay with Sonia and Gordon. From the moment we walked in the door with an offer to take us to an event that evening to the lovely walk into town for breakfast the next day, we felt quite at home and very spoilt. We hope they take the opportunity to visit us on one of their forays to the NSW North Coast. Highly recommend this delightful home and hosts in Orange.

  • Sonia and Gordon were such warm and welcoming hosts. They gave us the best inside info regarding food and wine stops in Orange. Both of them went out of their way to make our stay with them relaxing and fun. The house is cosy and warm - filled with colour and artworks.

If you like food, wine, and exchanging travel stories (not to mention Scrabble), this is the best place to stay in Orange!

We are taking a year off to volunteer in Tonga from March 2013... so not doing airbnb. my husband Gordon and I have lived in Orange for nearly 20 years. We enjoy travelling and have been active members of the hospitality club and servas so enjoy meeting people! I used to be an art teacher but now work with a rural women's program run through the department of primary industries. It is the most wonderful job which is probably why I have stayed for 20 years! Gordon, my husband used to be a chef but reclaimed his life 6 years ago and now works for a federal government department. Our house is within walking distance of town and there is a cafe 5 doors up the street. We only have one bathroom but a second toilet. The spare 'guest' room is very comfortable with a double bed and loads of books on the shelves. Our street is very quiet (no cost parking or you can park in our driveway) and we have a lovely backyard and outdorr sitting area. We have a couple of living areas and I do enjoy a game of scrabble with anyone willing to play with me! We spent a month volunteering in Peru in 2009 and hope to do more of this in the future. We are both in our early 50s enjoy art and the food delights of the wonderful Orange region. We hope to have you as our guest sometime soon! Our house has central heating and a fire so warm and snug in (website hidden): We can recommend the best cafes and restaurants for great regional produce and coffee among the many available in and around town... And of course the wonderful wines you can taste if that is your interest!
