CASE VACANZE ZUCCO
The houses are situated in the Terrasini district 150 metres above sea level and 1½ Km from the beach.
They have a spectacular view of the gulf of Castellamare.
The main house was originally one of the hunting lodges in the estate of the Prince of Orleans, in what
was once called the Zucco estate, which used to extend over 700,000 m2.
Over the years, the buildings were put to various uses and in more recent times the lodge became a farmstead.
Surrounded by an orange grove, they include the old manor house and a courtyard surrounded by smaller houses
each of which has its own patio area.

I reccomend Casa Laghetto with swimmingpool, the property is great with orange and lemon trees and and other exotic plants.
The pool is great with a stunning view of the bay, where you can relax all day.
House was modest and charming no frills, but with a beautiful terrace and a barbecue.
Giovanni during our stay was sick, his brother came to us and explained everything to us which was very helpful.
The only negatives were the motorway which runs a few hundred meters behind the estate, which came the low noise and two gates to the property locked with a padlock, which was a pain in the butt:)
Youreally need a car as the local store and the town is 5 km away.
Highly recommend this place and hope to return some day.
Superb, giant property! Authentic sicilian country house lovers: it is your place! Best panoramic swimming pool award goes to their pool! :) We loved it!
Extra: Giovanni's welcome package with wine was a surprise. :)
thanks for everything, we are planning to come back again with a bigger gang. Only one suggestion: if you are geek family, the wifi will superslow for you, not enough for video(website hidden).
If there is one thing that sells this spot it's the location of the infinity pool. The view is heavenly and the pool has only just been put in so there's no tiredness here. Our house was self contained and equipped for more than just snacks. Breakfast on our own terrace was a bonus and the orchards have lemons to pick and use. Our hosts Giovanni's brother and his wife were very welcoming and even came to find us on the road (not easy to spot as there's no signage), as well as sorting out some food on our arrival.
Using the upper bedroom would be ideal for kids, I kept banging my head on the ceiling. The shower seems very small within the very large bathroom but the water pressure is very good.
You'll need a car for this location and the road up to the accommodation is very rutted and rocky so take care ( plus there's two big gates that have to be closed with a chain).
Lacking was any sort of information once you'd arrived. A folder giving basic facts about the accommodation and the surrounding area would have been really helpful and an opportunity for the hosts to introduce their house rules such as no footwear in the pool area. Plus there's no on-site staff so if you need something it's by phone and there could be a delay.
That said these are small things that can be rectified and we both enjoyed our stay a lot. If you want to stay near Palermo to the west this is an idyllic spot.
