  • We really enjoyed our stay in Paula's condo in Charleston! The screened-in porch and pool were our favorite places! Paula stayed in touch with us before and during our stay via text/email-- she was also more than accommodating when we experienced issues with our key fob.

  • The condo was perfect--equal distance to the beach and downtown. We enjoyed using the pool and the screened in porch; we loved being able to do our laundry in-house. The kitchen has the basics for cooking, as well as a decent stock of spices. Paula was great, quick responses to every communication before and during our stay. After a very long trip down, she let us check in early with 5 minutes notice! We will definitely be returning to Charleston and plan to use the space again, no need to look elsewhere.

  • We had a wonderful week in Charleston! The accommodation was superb, well appointed and very clean. Paula was easily contactable which came in handy as our flight from Charlotte was delayed.

The location is great, being from Melbourne we didn't fancy driving around so we got a cab to and from town each day and it was only $10 each way. You can also get the bus from outside the post office as long as you check the timetable as they they only come very 1.5 hours.

The complex was fantastic, we loved sitting out on the screened porch having a beer in the evening or relaxing by the poolside after a long day pounding the streets.

There is a Publix supermarket around the corner about a 2 minute walk away, along with a good little pub called o'brions and a bar and grill called Salty Waters. All of the staff in each of these places were so friendly to us- so much so many have been added to (website hidden)!

We are already planning to comeback next year we just fell in love with Charleston

Thankyou Paula and see you next June/July!

  • Our days and nights in the condo were great, and Paula and her family were very gracious hosts. Anytime I needed to contact any of them, they replied immediately and were always helpful. The condo was in a great location and close to everything we wanted to do in Charleston. We were pleasantly surprised at just how much was furnished, even things we wouldn't have expected like soap and shampoo.

    Only one very small negative:
The TV channel lineup was only very very basic and didn't include HD. We were never home long enough to be truly annoyed by this, but it's worth mentioning as it would have been an annoyance on a long stay.

Overall a great place and a great host, we wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

  • My girlfriend and I stayed at Paula's condo Memorial Day weekend for a friend's wedding on John's Island. The condo was awesome and Paula was as well. Condo was exactly as advertised, clean and spacious with everything we needed (fresh linens, towels, kitchen basics, etc). The community pool was very nice, and the exercise room was functionally equipped for a good workout. We also enjoyed the screened-in porch for morning coffee and evening drinks. Short drive to everything: 5 minutes to downtown, 15 minutes to Folly Beach!

  • Paula's condo was great and exactly what we needed for our short stay in Charleston. The unit was very clean and comfy and we felt right at home. It's located in a secure gated community and is VERY close to downtown, a short 6-7 minute drive to all of the goodness Charleston has to offer. I would recommend Paula's condo to anyone visiting Charleston!

  • Paula's condo truly made our first stay in Charleston magical! She was such a gem . . . contacting us sporadically during the week to make sure we had everything we needed and that our stay was comfortable! The condo was absolutely fabulous! The pictures were spot on. Our favorite part by far was the lovely screened in porch . . . the bonus being that it looks out onto beautiful forestry rather than a parking lot. The whole complex was lovely. Even though we didn't take advantage of the pool, it was very nice. The location was wonderful . . . close to folly beach and to Charleston. We would stay here again in a heart beat!

  • The condo was nice and clean, the complex is beautiful and gated. Right in front of the condo is a small shopping center with a Publix. Right over the bridge is a Starbucks. The condo is close to the downtown area. Paula kept in contact with me to see if everything was ok or if I needed anything. I would definitely recommend
This condo to you If you want to visit he Charleston area.

  • Paula was a great host for our first ever airbnb experience. We didn't ever meet in person, but she checked in on us several times to make sure we were having a good time in Charleston! The condo was comfortable and spacious, and pretty clean to boot! The screened in porch was a nice treat too.

Location-wise it was pretty good too, easy to get into downtown and also easy to get down to folly beach too. It's in a pretty quiet area, (though backs to a highway) and really close to the grocery store (Publix) in case you forgot anything you might need!

I'll echo the feedback of other reviewers about the upstairs neighbors..a couple times they were pretty loud (sounded like they were just stalking around their apartment wearing cowboy boots) so if you're a light sleeper this may bother you. Wasn't much noise otherwise though, and the bed was very comfy too.

All in all a great first airbnb experience for us, and a great way to enjoy Charleston!

I am a Charleston native.... our family enjoys trips to NYC and we are always up for a cruise! My favorite things to do are shop for vintage goods and remodel homes.....sometimes one supports the other!!! Airbnb has been a great experience for me! I love sharing the great city of Charleston with everyone.... I've been bringing friends here since I went off to college in the 70's;) When we travel, we hope for a "real experience". How cool is it to stay among the locals and enjoy it all in your HOME away from home?
