In an old cosy family house we have one bedroom extra for guests who want to discover the beautiful city Antwerp. The bedroom has a matrinomial bed, but space for extra bed can be arranged. Shower and toilet are shared. But the whole house is open for use, including the kitchen and the garden. The room is situated on the floor in between and is bright.
The house is colorful, and for some a little chaotic, but we like it like this :-) You will feel home very easily, as we are flexible and open minded. You will have all the privacy you want, but it is also nice to share experiences with each other, with a glass of wine or during breakfast.
The city is beautiful, our neighboorhood full with life, and we are happy to tell you all secrets of the city and nice places to go. On your room there are guidebooks of the city and a plan.
The house is in a quiet place near Central Station where are trains to Holland, Brussels, Ghent, Bruges or directly to Paris. To the city centre it will be a 20 minutes walk through the main shopping street. But trams are also there to take you to the Cathedral.
We speak Dutch, English, Spanish and a little French and German. We traveled a lot around the world, also using airbnb and SERVAS (an international peace organisation), and it always fun to meet other people.
Fijne plek dichtbij Centraal Station. Hartelijk ontvangen, goed ontbijtje 's ochtends.
My first experience with Airbnb, and it was a great one. A lovely home close to the city center, the room was beautiful, private and comfortable and on the shelves we found a lot of city guides from previous visitors. Leida and her family are very nice and open people: they were warm and welcoming, gave us detailed tips about the city (we had the absolute best Belgian fries thanks to them...;) and made sure everything during our stay was in order. I highly recommend this place!
My fiancée and I had a lovely time staying with Leida for two nights.
She is a very welcoming and friendly host, and the house is beautiful.
Our stay with Leida and her family was absolutely wonderful! The room was huge and extremely comfortable, and Leida was extremely accommodating. The house itself is also beautiful, and is only a 15 minute walk to the centre of the city. We loved Antwerp and will be coming back to stay with Leida next time! Highly recommended!
Goed bevallen.
we did not meet with hostess. Her son showed us all. The room is located in the area of criminal and bad , despite that he is in the center. The house was very cold, and when we asked for a heater we have been ignored. We were not very happy with ...
We would have been happy to put the heater on, if you would be awake during the day. I was not there when you came, but the rest of the time I was at home.
I don't think you can call our neighborhood as "criminal", nor bad. I don't think that would be fair to the people living here.
Nevertheless I hope you enjoyed the city, and had a good trip back.
I had a really nice time staying at Leida's house in Antwerp. The house is really beautiful and very close to Centraal Station and within walking distance to all the major sights of the city. The room is a generous size and very comfortable. Leida was a great host, very friendly and relaxed and happy to offer help with directions and ideas for exploring the city. Antwerp is a really fantastic city, I highly recommend visiting and staying at Leida's house! My only regret is not staying for longer!
