In the middle of the city center of Florence, via Fiesolana is located in the Santa Croce area, a few blocks from the Sant Abrogio market , the Duomo, and Piazza San Marco (where the original statue of the Michelangelo David is)
Santa Croce with his tipical "S,. Ambrogio market" and Santo Spirito are the only two neighborhood in Florence that have not been invaded by global tourism have still kept the personality and life style of real Florence.
During the morning in Sant Ambrogio there is a local market , were all the Florentines go to shop for their fresh groceries. Here you can find everything you need straight from the farmers garden , Santa Croce is also one of the best places to eat traditional food from Florence. At night the bars are full of people and during summer all the little squares in the neighborhood fill up with tables and people .
From Santa Croce you can walk to all the major touristic attractions.
From theSMN Central train station there is a 20 minutes walk to the apartment and many buses will take you there.
just remeber to switch lights and heater when you check out.
The reservation was canceled 13 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Lisa is a really nice, available and kind person, she warmly welcomed us in a big house 15 minutes walking distance from the most famous masterpieces. The house is simple and cute, fornitures are out-of-date, a bit dusty. Bathroom and shower not so comfortable but normally functioning. Good tradeoff if you want to spend couple of days and save money.
My two friends and I met in Rosa Lisa apartment in Fiasolana, Florence.
The apartment is located central and is in a walking distance to it all. From one bedroom have views over the roofs.
It was easy to communicate with Lisa Rosa, and it worked fine.
The apartment was great. Awesome location and exactly like depicted in the photos. We had a slight mishap when checking in (Lisa was late) however she was very apologetic and had a valid excuse.
Overall I would recommend this apartment to small groups and families! There is no elevator and the stairs are a bit steep, so if you have mobility issues, this might not be the place for you.
Great flat. Really lovely place to stay. Has all you really need. Don't be put off by the stairs, the views are worth it . Highly recommended.
This apartment offers a great location to one of the best parts of Florence. With access to the main attractions - it's a great local spot too. Furnishings are very basic & the price reflects this, along with minimal nature of services.
It was a bit difficult contacting Lisa prior to our arrival to Florence. I had at times to contact airbnb to get I contact with Lisa for me as days(at times 6 days) would go by to get Lisa to answer a simple question as "is it okay to get early checkin and if so what's the earliest?" Coming from California I was nervous about not being able to get ahold of her once in Florence. It would take days and multiple emails to get one response. I was very hesitant to go ahead with the reservation because of the delay in response- I wish I had stuck to my gut and canceled. Prior to our arrival I exchanged an email agreeing with Lisa to get an early checkin. She stated in the email that she would meet me at the apartment- 1.5 hours later Lisa is nowhere in site. I had to ask a stranger on the street to ask to use their phone to get ahold of her. Once the call was made I got ahold of a man- telling me Lisa is in the country and will not be returning until 2pm for checkin. I explained to him the email exchange, he got ahold of Lisa and was nice enough to come our way to let us in. 2 hours later, with little sleep we get in. The place is dirty, wifi not working, refrigerator-power circuits off. My boyfriend and I had to figure out the wifi ourselves, find the power circuses to turn them on, etc. there was no directions of how or what was available in the home. By 230pm Lisa arrives to "clean" the home. The only thing different was that the bed was made with new sheets, other than that the house was dusty, musty, bathroom not clean. Other than the location of the home it was not a pleasant stay. I would not contact Lisa to stay at her home again.
