Sara was very welcoming; I felt at home right away. There was a basket with treats, lots of supplies in the bathroom (saving on things I needed to pack), and a welcome to use the kitchen and laundry facilities as needed. We had a lovely chat over coffee the first morning, and her cat Ginger is a dear (and allowed me the privilege of scratching her ears).
The description of the bedroom and bathroom was quite accurate and it was the perfect space for me as a single traveler. I did most of my work during the week on the UVA campus, but my room was a comfortable place (lots of pillows!) to read email and catch up on news on my laptop (very reliable WiFi, too).
The neighborhood is a fairly new, condominium complex with lots of open space and amenities. The swimming pool and tennis courts were available to use, although my schedule didn’t permit this. The upstairs neighbor was occasionally heavy footed, but he/she respected the need for quiet time after 9pm.
It was an easy drive through a lovely neighborhood to the UVA campus. There are no restaurants in the immediate neighborhood, but Charlottesville is small enough that it didn’t take long to find some good places a few minutes away by car.
This was my first experience with AirBnB and it was very positive. I’ll do it again!
Easy to coordinate, place was as advertised. Very comfortable bed. Nice condo / apartment complex. Easy parking. No complaints, would definitely recommend!
Even though we stayed with Sara just one night, we had a nice visit. The room was clean and comfortable and the bath as well. We most enjoyed our conversation with Sara in the morning over coffee before we left. She also gave us a great recommendation for dinner, which we would not have found on our own. Sara is a wonderful host. If you go to Charlottesville, look her up.
We are first timer's with AirBnB so were unsure of what to expect. Sara was very accommodating and gave us her door code so that we could "check-in" early. That was great right there! Her place is in a good location just south of town and was ideal for our onward travel plans. The room is nicely appointed with everything one could need (including a nice snack and bottled water!) We were exhausted on arrival, so a comfy rest was what we needed! The bed was quite comfortable and the room is very cozy and well done. Very home-like!
We had a late night ahead of us and the details of coming and going worked perfectly. (Including her new In/Out sign on the bedroom door!)
I wish we were able to spend a bit more time with her! Hopefully next time! Thank you
Sara's place was very lovely. Her directions were very clear, the room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. We had a great stay!
Sarah has a lovely small bedroom in which to stay for the night. She has thought of the small things, water, soaps, snacks, and wrote a personalized note. Easy to find the condo and inside with the signs on bedroom and bathroom doors.
Despite short notice, Sara had our room nicely prepared and ready for our stay. This was our first Airbnb experience, and we will definitely do this again.
We came to visit downtown Charlottsville, an easy 10 minute drive from our room. We had easy access to our room, and we appreciated having our own dedicated bathroom.
