This en-suite room was listed from January 2013 to November 2013 and hosted over 100 guests (refer to reviews).
The photos you see are OLD photos. I am listing the room again as it will be available for a few days/weeks this summer.
But please note, there is:
- No desk
- No TV
- No chest of drawers
The furniture has changed slightly, the bed has a different color, the bedside tables are different, there are no posters on the walls.
Also, there is NO access to the kitchen. What you get is simply a fantastic comfortable and quiet room with your own private en-suite bathroom, in an incredible location in Central London.
Everything else in the room is still the same! You get:
- A King-size bed (5 ft - 150 cm)
- A Healthopedic mattress
- Your own private bathroom
- A lot of storage
- Blackout curtains
- Wifi Internet
Once again: there is NO kitchen and there is NO breakfast. Please do NOT ask me about breakfast mentioned in the reviews. The reviews are for the room when it was listed last year. What you get is the bedroom and its own private bathroom. The rest of the apartment is locked.
█ CHECK-IN & CHECK-OUT
Check-in is from 3:00pm onward. If you are arriving in the morning, please do let me know in advance as sometimes I might be at the apartment and you could drop your bags. If not, I recommend you use one of the multiple "Left Luggage" facilities available in London at several locations.
Check-out: the room must be evacuated by 12:00 noon the latest. It could be possible to leave your bags at the apartment and collect them later during the day, but please do let me know in advance so I can organize it.

█ THE LOCATION: In the heart of London!
The large bedroom with its attached en-suite bathroom is inside a 2000 sqft duplex penthouse on North Audley Street, a dream location in the Northern part of Mayfair. You are literally at the corner of Selfridges and Oxford Street. A truly incredible spot.

Spacious bedroom with private en-suite bathroom in an amazing location! The apartment is located just one street off Oxofrd Street (opposite Selfridges department store) and the area is full of cafes, pubs and restaurants. There is also a small food shop just downstairs for all your essentials.
The bedroom faces a very quiet inner courtyard and has blackout curtains so you sleep really well - and the bed is very comfortable with nice soft sheets :-) Just great after a busy day out in London!
Farid was very friendly and flexible and communication with him was great too.
We will definitifely stay here again for our next visit to London!
Farid was very kind and quick with communication. Arranging an alternative check in with him to accommodate our arrival time in London was no problem, if not incredibly flexible and simple. The room was impeccably clean, comfortable, and well located in one of the major centers of London (only about 3-4 minutes walking to Selfridges). For the price, I don't think there is a better place in London given this combination of factors.
However, there was one issue that left my brother and I feeling insecure: the private room did not have a lock of any sort. Although the entrance to the flat locked, it was unsettling knowing that another room in the flat was being occupied and that there was no way to lock our room and protect our belongings (money, passports, etc.) from a complete stranger. I think that if multiple people are using the flat at the same time, a door lock should be necessary seeing as we had no idea who the other person staying there was.
Other than that, it was an excellent stay!
Thank you Matt, it was great hosting you and your brother! I have hosted over 300 guests so far and my private rooms never had any locks. None of my previous guests have ever mentioned anything about safety and/or locks, nor have they ever voiced any concern. Booking a private room on Airbnb means you are staying at someone's house/apartment, and trust is the first foundation of the whole Airbnb experience. My guests have never had a single problem. On a side note, I had mentioned to you clearly who was the other guest staying in the other room, which also does not have a lock. So, if all my guests are going to be scared of other guests coming into their room and stealing their belongings, then this whole Airbnb would never work. Guests who have such concerns can very simply book a whole apartment/house, or choose to stay at a hotel that provides a safe. Please do so in the future. All the best, -Farid
Excellent sejour, tout était parfait!
Thank you for your part in a wonderful few days in London in October- November. We very much apprechiated your apartment and the attention to detail and trust in us that you showed. Clearly you know what travellers need.
I did not come to comment earlier because I knew yor were leaving the Mayfair apartment and not knowing what would be instead. Glad to hear you found a place near the British Museum – another splendid location!
We would definitely be pleased to rent with you again and can warmly recommend other travellers to do so.
Best wishes, Sarah and Elisabeth
The apartment it is just great.
The location is good, the room has everything you need and it is very clean and cozy. The bed is super comfortable! and breakfast is a plus. Farid is very nice and helpful.
Farid & Jade's apartment is great. Farid was a very friendly and helpful host. The room and bathroom were extremely clean and cosy and he offered us a fantastic and generous breakfast, lost of cereals, bread, fruit, jam, juice. The position of the apartment is very central, a few steps away from Oxford street, where you can do some shopping. Public transport is also close, there are buses and the underground. It was a nice experience and I highly recommend to stay here!
My husband and I stayed with Farid (Jade was out of town) for three nights in October 2013. It was the best experience we could have wished for. As new airbandb guests, we were nervous to stay in someone else's flat but Farid was welcoming and very accommodating. He had us settle into the room first before showing us around all the common areas. The common areas were welcoming if we wanted to hang out and the bedroom was quiet from the rest of the house. The bed was very comfortable including the choice of four different pillows. The en suite bathroom was a good size and very convenient with soft towels. The food Farid provided for breakfast was perfect (breads, many cereals, eggs, cheese, condiments, milk, juice) and it was really easy to find out way around the cabinets. He showed us the washer so we could do a load of laundry at his place before leaving for the rest of our vacation. The flat is in a perfect location for seeing all of London and Farid is very helpful with recommendations and directions. I would recommend staying with Farid and Jade. Good people and a perfect room!
A wonderful position in London right in the heart of everything. Across the road for an organic croissant at the partisserie and down the road to oxford st for fabulous shopping. Mayfair is very beautiful and the buildings make for great photo opportunities. The apartment was cosy and Farid was a very welcoming host. We were given some great tips on where to eat and sights to see. Would come here again when coming to London.
Amazing airbnb experience in London, Farid is an incredible host, he was so friendly and helpful with us. The apartment is in a great location, few steps to Oxford st, everthing extremly clean, as seen on pictures! Great breakfasts. We highly recomend to stay here if you are planning visiting London.
Farid was a terrific host and it was a pleasure to be able to share his apartment.
The apartment is in a nice, central location, close to public transport. Much of London that a visitor wants to see is either a short walk or tube ride away.
Farid makes every effort to cater for a visitor's needs, including a set of weights in the cupboard that you case use to work out in case wandering around London hasn't tired you out !
A generous breakfast is provided and the kitchen is well equipped to cook your own meals if you choose to.
The room faces the back of the street and it is very quiet. Some may prefer a slightly firmer bed, but it's nevertheless very comfortable.
You can also relax in the main living room with your host and any other guests that may be around at the time. Whilst we didn't get a chance to do so ourselves, other guests were lucky enough to take in a football game with Farid on the large screen TV. But note that Farid cannot guarantee the game's outcome :-).
Should we pass through London again, we'll certainly check if Farid's apartment is available again.
