Laura and her husband were so kind. They greeted us at the ferry stop near the apartment, and spent quite a long time with us, providing a ton of helpful information about Venice. The map they gave us was very helpful and came in handy on more than one occasion. The apartment is very close to the main sights in Venice (Rialto Bridge, Grand Canal, Piazza San Marco). We would recommend this apartment to anyone visiting Venice. It is very clean and has everything you would need.
Spacious apartments in the very center of Venice. Laura has guided us from "vaporetto" stop to apartments, and gave detailed recommendations about what to see, and what places to visit.
It's late, raining and the tide is rising and you are catching a ferry instead of a taxi to your accommodation and it's then you want Laura and Marko to show you their roomy clean dry apartment. What a great base from which to see Venice. Thank you.
Laura was very helpful right from our first conversation on airbnb, and attentive to all messages, replying almost immediately. We arrived a little bit late then anticipated, which didn't generate any problems at all, even though Laura & her husband were waiting for us in the rain, near Rialto Bridge. Then they took us to their beautiful apartment, just a few meters away from the Rialto = Best Location Ever!
The place itself was huge (would easily accommodate 3 couples), fully equipped with whatever you'd need to have in a regular home. Spotless clean, very neatly decorated, no problems with heating/water (we were there in February, when it's very cold, and many Italian houses we visited earlier didn't have individually set-up heating systems, and it was freezing, but not Laura's apartment).
On top of all these great points add the most important point that Laura is a great host: she sat down with us, took the map, and pointed to all the good restaurants/grocery places. Our stay was short, so we visited only a few of those, and everyone of them was really really good.
We would definitely stay there again, that is, if we can find Laura's apartment not booked :) Thank you so much Laura for all your help & hospitality.
This was a great apartment. We were a party of four, and the space was just perfect. Lots of light, lots of room. The apartment was very clean including bathroom.
The location is very near to all kinds of restaurants. It is a very quiet and safe neighborhood. Checking in and out was very easy. Overall, I would highly recommend this apartment!
Perfect location close to Rialto bridge and St Mark's Square. Very comfortable and well equipped. Be prepared for a walk up to the top floor. View over the square is worth the effort. There's a fairly lively bar on the ground floor by the apartment that was still going strong at 10:00 pm but the sound was fairly muted from our top floor location. Hand over went very smoothly. Really appreciated being met at the water bus stop and getting a map with key spots already noted. Highly recommend and would definitely stay here again.
Excellent place to explore Venice. It truly is only 40m form the Rialto Bridge. The unit was very spacious and exactly as in the pictures, kitchen well equipped (coffee included!). Check-in and out was very easy; the young lady waited for us in the Rialto vaporetta stop and walked us to the unit. She also gave very good recommendations about some close by restaurants; we used both and were very pleased.
The supermarket is not far at all, just a bit hard to find being first time in Venice.
Overall, I will recommend this place, and use it if my travels bring me back to Venice in the future.
Laura and Carlo's (website hidden) is just fabulous! Everything exceeded our expectations. We were met at the ferry stop and taken to the apartment where Laura took the time to show us through the house as well as go through the map pointing out good bars and restaurants as well as places to see during our stay. The time she took ensuring we were well settled was really appreciated.
The apartment itself is massive! We were 4: one couple and two singles, and we had more than enough room for all of us. The kitchen is well kitted out although we only ate breakfast at home, wanting to try all the delicious food Venice has to offer.
Location-wise it is extremely central. You may need earplugs during the high season but that is to be expected in such a touristy town, but we had no problems with getting a good night's sleep (besides the lure of the bars!).
All in all a most wonderful stay and I definitely recommend this place to anyone.
I highly recommend a stay at Rialto Charme! I stayed for 3 nights with 5 family members. The apartment is beautiful, spacious and clean. It is extremely central, only a few steps to Rialto bridge and less than 5 mins to San Marco. Laura was an extremely accommodation host. She happily met us at the vaporetto stop and have great advice for seeing Venice. Overall, a wonderful experience in a beautiful apartment.
Rialto Charme is a great place to stay in Venice. Laura met us at the Rialto stop and took us over to the apartment (a 2 min walk). Laura provided us with a map of the city and the "checkin" process was quick and easy. We had a former Venice resident traveling with us on the trip so had most things planned out but Laura can certainly provide some great recommendations. The apartment has everything you'd need for a stay in Venice. We ended up not cooking during our 5 day stay (too many great restaurant options in Venice!) but it was nice to have a refrigerator for snacks, wine, etc. If you do cook everything you could need is there. The 4th floor location was great and will certainly keep you in shape during your trip since there is no elevator. But it gives you a nice view over the square out front. One thing to note is the wine bar that is on the street level can get a bit loud on some nights. If you're a light sleeper you'll want a pair of earplugs. The noise was really not an issue for any of us on this stay and was expected since you are in a city after all. Overall, I highly recommend Rialto Charme for your stay in Venice. The accommodations are great, the host is very friendly and easy to work with and the location cannot be beat!
