About this listing
This is a 30+ or 60+ day rental property.
Ideal for movie industry guests, guests working in the city or people looking to move to New Orleans and needing a furnished place to stay during the process. It is my apt. so some dates are not available
Lovely Marigny triangle apartment, blocks from Frenchman Street, easy walk to the French Quarter and just far enough away from the action to be cozy, but not too far away for fun.
Full kitchen, bathroom and bedroom with king bed. Open floor plan. Wireless Internet & Cable (website hidden)/Heat, Sound Machine, Alarm Clock, Coffee and Chicory. This is a personal residence, not a Vacation Rental. No smoking, no pets and treat it well, it is our home :)
This apartment shares a wall with a business. We do have a sound machine to help and have installed sound board between the walls. On occasion the business may need to contact the tenet in the event of a power outage or ac problem for access into the attic area. This is coordinated with the tenant.
Based on guest feedback, we have added an autolock closure to the alleyway entrance. It is important that all guests keep their keys on them when leaving the apartment to make sure they can get back in.
This building is from 1850 and the neighborhood is historic. At times, the water pressure is low in the shower, please note we are aware of the situation but the pipes from 1850 don't allow it to be resolved :) Part of this charm is the history of the building.
Great restaurants nearby, 24 hour bar 2 blocks away, bakery, cafes and jazz music within walking distance. Bus line near by and easy cab ride or walk to the quarter.
*30 day rentals
No smoking, no pets, no loud music, no drugs, no parties, no prostitution. We are located in a family friendly neighborhood, please do not bother our neighbors or do things you wouldn't want people doing in your neighborhood. We ask that you do not do anything that would disturb the neighbors. Please remember this is our home, treat it well.
Amy's place was wonderful and she was a superb host; making sure we were conformable and checking to see if we needed anything every so often. The place was wonderful, comfortable, and clean, but what we loved most about it was the location. A very short walk to the music on Frenchman St, and then a 10 min walk to the quarter and the mayhem on Bourbon, yet the street and neighberhood was always quite and low key, which made it a perfect spot to rest.
I can't say enough good things about this apartment! The location was absolutely perfect, safe, and just a short walk to Frenchmen St. and the French Quarter. The apartment was spacious, cozy, clean and had everything you could possibly need. I'd definitely put this at the top of my list for future NOLA visits. Thank you Amy!
Any was extremely responsive throughout the reservation process and had the apartment cooled and ready for our stay upon our arrival. The apartment was in an excellent location between Frenchmen St and the French Quarter, in a safe neighborhood. The apartment itself was both modern and cozy, with a lovely kitchen and a large, comfortable bed.
We loved this apartment! Great location, cosy and comfortable, AC, spotlessly clean in arrival, a lovely cosy bed. It made our trip really enjoyable. Amy is quick to respond and very friendly.
The apartment is a 2 min walking distance from Frenchman St & 5 mins from French Quarter. A really fantastic location for exploring many parts of the city.
The host Amy is very kind and helpful and quick to respond to messages. Access was very easy and the apartment is set in the back and very very quiet. It has a large kitchen if you want to cook and a comfy bed and a small bathroom. There is no chest of drawers for your clothes and the lighting is not great but it is a wonderful apartment and the neighborhood is perfect. You are in the fantastic Marigny area and a very short walking distance to the French Quarter. This place is great!
This apartment is perfect for a couple on a long weekend away. It's perfectly between Bourbon St. and Frenchman St. Amy was an exceptional host, even leaving us a bottle of wine after a minor communications mistake.
We had a great time staying here - the space was small but nice (studio- no living room, but easy chairs to hang out in). I would recommend planning to do a cooking event at their place -we regretted that we hadn't.
The location was PERFECT. Walking distance to tourist stuff, but not in the middle of the quarter -closer even to Frenchmen St. where we routinely ended our days. Close enough to take a siesta in the AC as well. Close to bus connections in any direction (yes, we took public transportation most of the time as well as uber and taxi and even a pedicab - the last was too expensive for the distance, but fun). St. Claude is a little gritty, as are many parts of Nola, but it never felt dangerous. Someone commented about it being dark - but it is hot in Nola, so you close up and darken - to fend off the heat of the sun! (this wouldn't occur to you if you visit in March). Explore the Bywater, bike. Enjoy. I would recommend this place!
