Our stay in Nice was fantastic, but it was not the smoothest experience. We arrived at 11pm and were left waiting outside the apartment in the dark for 20 minutes before being given the keys. Salvatore's cousin was very apologetic and very professional and gave a great tour of the apartment. He had a whole book of information about Nice and the room is very nice with a washing machine, fridge/freezer and modern bathroom. However is not decorated as it is in the pictures and much more basic.
They provided half a roll of toilet paper and told us we had to buy our own if we ran out.
Barely a five minute walk from the beach, the apartment is also in easy walking distance of a Lidl if you plan to grocery shop, and a delicious bakery. Salvatore and his cousin run this like a business and are very friendly and professional, and the apartment is in a great location. But I will not be staying here if I return.
We we're welcomed at the office of Salvator by his cousin who was very friendly and professional. He gave us a short instruction about our apartment and gave us some recommendations about Nice. This was very useful but we are used to a less formal way of welcoming while using airbnb, this felt more like we were at a travel agency. When we got to the apartment we got a bit dissapointed at first, since the pretty decorations of the pictures were not there, however all the furniture looked very new and everything worked perfectly. The bathroom is really nice (some towels available) and the kitchen has (almost) everything you need to cook. Some basic tools were missing. A big minus is that we didn't sleep very well because of the heath (even though there is a fan), the noise on the street and the uncomfy bed . A big plus is the location, very close to the beach, the promenade, some supermarkets, bust stop etc. Also the wifi is great. All in all the apartment is fine but its more like you are renting a hotel room rather than an airbnb apartment.
Salvatore was very clean and easy to communicate with. He left us with great restaurant recommendations and a guide of Nice. So helpful. Thank you!
We were welcomed on time and given the keys immediately upon our arrival. It was very easy and convenient.
