This apartment had everything possible, location location location! I was in the middle of such a lovely city. I was surrounded by restaurants and shops. There is a bakery one block down, dangerously good :-)
You won't be disappointed.
This studio was just what we needed- had a small kitchen, balcony overlooking Honduras Street, TV with lots of channels, good wi-fi. The location is perfect as it´s right on Plaza Serrano in Palermo Soho and we found ourselves not wanting to leave the neighborhood most days. Pilar was very responsive before and during our stay. When we arrived she met us at the apartment (with snacks) and stayed to talk to us and offer restaurant suggestions, helped us find places to change our currency, etc. Pilar is very trustworthy and responsible and I would definitely recommend her as a host as well as this apartment specifically.
The small Apartment in Soho Palermo was great! A perfect location and the flat included all we needed. The host Pilar was ver friendly and kind and met us on arrival and departure as aggreed. As our first time to the city, Pilar was very helpfull and gave valuable informations. We were right of the midle of the charming area, with some happy people and nightlife. We will for sure recomend the place and come back
The apartment is even better than the web pictures !!
Perfect location! Very cozy and the kitchen is relatively well equipped. And Pilar is a gracious host with lots of helpful tips!
The apartment was in a perfect location if you want to be near Plaza Serrano! It's loud and busy at nights, which I did not mind, but if you want peace and quiet at all times I would stay somewhere else. The AC worked ok but was not perfect, but then again it was 100 degrees F during my stay. Good value for the price. Loved the balcony.
Pilar was very responsive and a great host - sweet and pleasant in person, and knowledgeable about her property. Everything was perfect until the checkout when I made a responsible decision (Pilar was not present for my checkout as I unfortunately had to leave in a rush), but she called me rude (which I really hope was just due to language translation as English is not her first language) and tried to charge me $100USD to make a duplicate set of keys! Crazy!
Overall, I would recommend Pilar's studio.
Locatio, location location. A gem of a studio in one of the most happening locations in Bs As. I spent 3 weeks here and was happy to have the amenities of Polermo Soho at my fingertips. I took tango lessons, went to the nearby superclub "Kika" and enjoyed numerous nearby restaurants. Some of my favourite spots to eat nearby: El Calden, Kanu sushi and Sans which is directly beside Pilars condo. Sans has free wifi and excellent salads/coffee.
Pilar allowed for an early check in and late checkout which helped me out tremendously. The unit was as advertised and the balcony overlooking the happening plaza Serrano was a favourite hang out for me. People watching at its best.
I would stay here again in a heart beat and would recommend it to any single traveller or couple. Yes the street is noisy in the evenings especially on the weekends due to the fact that plaza Serrano is such a popular hang out but the large glass sliding door is quite sound proof should you choose to have the odd early night to bed.
Tip for North Americans: Bring American dollars! You can exchange them in BA for a much higher exchange rate than that of your debit card / visa. This will double your spending power.
Stay at Pilars. You won't regret it.
I stayed at two properties of Pilar's and the experience was great at both. The Alto Palermo location was very central and convenient whereas the Plaza Serrano apartment was in the heart of an incredibly charming neighborhood. Both places were clean, inviting, and well-stocked. Pilar also went out of her way to make our stay ideal while in Buenos Aires, a city with a unique European/South American culture and a surprisingly great food scene. If you want to feel like a local in Palermo, these are two perfect places to stay.
Pilar was a great host!! Very helpful with any kind of request. The studio, located in the middle of Palermo Soho is great, you get everything you need in walking distance – supermarket, gym and the most wonderful cafés to idle in the open. It was clean, everything worked as it should an there is a lovely balcony. If you're going to Buenos Aires, I'd defenitly recommend you to stay there!
We had an incredible stay there! Though Pilar was unable to be there when we arrived, she had her house cleaner be there to let us in and give us a very thorough explanation of the beautiful place. Everything was provided for, including some welcome beers and juice which we REALLY appreciated. The location could not have been better...right in the middle of Palermo Soho. But be warned! The clubs at night during weekends just outside on the street don't stop until 7am, so bring some earplugs if you need to sleep. The internet was perfect, the water was very hot when we wanted it to be, and the little touches within the space were charming. A great place to make your base while visiting Buenos Aires.
