Wow this was a great place to stay! The area is very nice and the architecture is so varied and interesting. Michael's house is comfortable yet feels like a museum almost as he has such wonderful art and furniture collections. He is a fabulous host, knows the area well and is generous with recomendations and especially of himself and his time. This is one spot you should not pass us! I have stayed in lots of bed and breakfasts and this one is clearly one of the best for me.
Michal made us feel very welcome for our two-day stay. His home and garden are clean and wonderful. The neighborhood is also very peaceful, with plenty of space for parking.
Thanks for everything, Michal!
Michal was so warm and welcoming! It was a pleasure to have met him and stay in the oasis. Beautiful home and perfect for a night or two after a night at the rose bowl.
Michal welcomed us warmly to his home. The room was nice, though smaller than expected from the picture but it was fine for our stay as we were out most of the time. We used the kitchen only for breakfast, however it was not very clean.
Michal can give you very good advice on restaurants to go to and places to visit!
What can we say and rave about Michal that hasn't been said before? He is an absolutely amazing host. My boyfriend and I were greeted by his charming smile and firm handshake...And, a chilled bottle of chardonnay. He was quick to recommend places around the area and sat with us for a while to tell us about his garden, his house, his cats... So LOVELY! The pictures perfectly describe the place.
After dinner we had deep conversation with Michal about traveling, camping, life, art and he even sang for us, which was an absolute honor. Needless to say, it was ABSOLUTE PLEASURE to stay with Michal and we now see Michal as a friend and not as a host.
See you soon Michal!
Michal definitely provides a personalized and unique experience for his guests. To kick off the weekend, we were greeted with glasses of wine, and given a quick tour of the home and garden. Michal's home is filled with treasures and discoveries, from years of travels, and the garden is lush with every possible rare plant. He kindly gave me purple oxalis bulbs, which I've planted at home. Both couples had our own room with private bath, which was very convenient. Michal definitely goes above and beyond to provide a positive experience, even going so far as giving one member of our party a ride when he was stuck.
Michal's Oasis is lush and cozy! Michal is a wonderful host! He is so much fun to chat with. Michal welcomed us with a big smile and made us feel at home. We only wish we could have stayed longer!

Greetings! I am a classical musician, with a definite appreciation for all the Fine Arts-
Raised and educated back-east, and loving the warmth and kindness of Southern Californians! Gardening with rare, tropical plants- and visiting local museums, are definitely high on my list... along with attending concerts, antique shops, and new restaurants in the area. I enjoy sharing my home with fellow travelers, who are looking to discover what a great place that Pasadena is!
