About This Listing
The apartment is on the first floor of a building of the '20s, right on the border between the districts of Trastevere and Testaccio. In the immediate area there are supermarkets, bars, restaurants, pizzerias, pharmacies and free parking.
Situated in an historical building of 1926, near the river Tevere, the flat is exactly between two very central districts: Trastevere and Testaccio.
You can find public transports just out of the door! The streetcar number 8 reaches Piazza Venezia in few minutes; busses 170, 719 and 718 bring you to central station, to the closer subway stop of Piramide and to Piazza Venezia; in five minutes walking you can get to Trastevere Station where trains to and from Fiumicino Airport and St. Peter's Cathedral stop every 15 minutes.
In the neighborhood you can find everything you need in few steps: supermarkets, cafes, pharmacies, restaurants, pizza, beer house... and, exactly behind the building, every sunday, there's the most popular and old market of Rome: Porta Portese.
The very good thing is that the apartment is in a secondary, very quiet street.
The flat is cute and newly renovated. It's composed by a lounge with a very comfortable double sofa bed, a bedroom with a queen size bed, a lightful dining kitchen, a bathroom with a bathtub and a lovely garden with a lemon tree! If you need an extra bed, there's a mattress on a little loft approachable by an handy retractable stair, but I also can put it in the bedroom. A baby bed is available too.
Please don't hesitate to contact me for any request.
Interaction with Guests
Our staff multiligue (Italian, English and German) will be at your disposal for the entire duration of your stay.
The neighborhood is very quiet. On Sundays soul to give birth to the quaint market Portaportese.
Served from 8 tram in a few minutes to Piazza Venezia, the underground trains that connect the station to Fiumicino airport to Trastevere and San Pietro, the 170 bus to Termini Station, 719 in a few minutes leads to the Piramide Metro stop 781 terminus in Piazza Venezia, is located in an ideal area to get to any tourist destination and city logistics.

We (both 66 years old) stayed here from Wednesday 15 April up to Tuesday 21 April 2015. Nives was our host during these days; she was very helpfull and already waiting for us in the appartment when our plane was landing at Fiuminico-Airport. With Treno Regionale FL1 it is only 7 stops (about half an hour) to Station Trastevere and Via Giovanni da Castelbolognese 30 is only a walk from that Station. The stop of TRAM 8 to the center of Trastevere and to the center of Rome is only 200 metres. On the corner is "La Bottega"where you can buy all fresh (excellent) food for your breakfast, lunch and dinner.
No negative points ?....Euh...in the bathroom a few things have to be repaired and some pots in the kitchen need a handle. We are sure those points will be solved when YOU arrive.
We had a wonderfull time in this relaxing appartment with garden in a safety and quiet surroundings.
Antonius and Lucie
Didn't meet Iliana, but was very kind and friendly (and speaks perfect English) over email. The place is fine - very safe and secure in gated building and convenient to Trastavere station. It is large and spacious and in a quiet neighbourhood which was great. It is a little bit far to walk to the sites, but good exercise! We used Uber a few times which worked brilliantly, but otherwise walked everywhere and clocked 6-8 miles each day!
The place could be a little bit cleaner, but overall it was fine. You can hear the neighbour upstairs wake up and walk around between 7 and 8 in the morning, but otherwise there aren't really any noise disruptions.
The Burger Factory restaurant is very good just at the corner, as is Pepito's Pizza which is a bargain and really nice and friendly service. Essenziale is a newer restaurant also very close by which was excellent as well - all these within 2 minute walk of the apartment!
We were met by Gustavo who quickly realized and remedied the fact that a bed had not been made up for our son. Even though it gets no full sun it is a cozy light apartment with a small back garden. When we were there the kitchen cupboard had plenty of essential food items like oil, salt, pepper etc. The bed was comfortable and our son slept well in the mezzanine above the living room. I probably wouldn't put a very young child up there. Everything was clean and in good order.
We absolutely loved the area and connection to the excellent public transport. Ilaria was very responsive to any questions we had.
Don't forget in Rome there is a tourist tax of 3.50€ per adult and over 10 yrs per night which is payable upon arrival into the apartment.
This is a wonderful large, comfortable, bright, spacious apartment. Probably our favorite in 4 months of traveling. The kitchen is fully equiped (lots of food too) and has a lovely dining space. Too damp and cool to use the garden during our visit but it is nice to look out the window at the inviting space. We liked the location better than we thought we would. It's next to the Testaccio bridge and neighborhood. Testaccio has a great farmer's market and lots of good restaurants. The cemetery, by the piramid, where Keats and Shelley are buried is enchanting. If you are at the apartment on a sunday you will wake up to a giant flea market a block away. It's easy to get to Trastavere and all the sites across the river, tram #8 is close and covers it. Stay here, you'll be glad you did.
