  • This house is 1000 thousand times better than you'd even imagine. It's in a lovely location with seriously spectacular views of the lake! The bedrooms a spacious and the beds are comfy. There are two bathrooms for he bedrooms. One big one and one average size. The living space is great with huge windows. The kitchen is very well equipped and is an enjoyable space to cook in if you enjoy cooking.

There's the second best rated restaurant in bariloche just 15minute down hill walk away. It is fab and they have awesome English so you know what your ordering. Its called, La salamandrA pulperia. You need Reservation so email or call and book. We also drove to Cerro Catedral ski resort and walked and took some lifts. We did the 7 lakes drive, went up Cerro Otto lift to the revolving restaurant. This is like 1km of that from the house, really short walk. Oh as there's. Ice cream shop right at the bottom for evening ice cream cravings. We also went horse riding with carol jones which was fun Nd paragliding with parapente bariloche. We left some business cards and restaurant leaflets in the house to help you with planning things. The wifi is great so it's easy to research the area. Also Nuno is very attentive so you'll have no problem getting in contact with him for any advice or help you may need.

The only slight downfall is the annoying g barking dogs next door. There's a cute dog that comes in the garden but he winds up the neighbours dogs and they relentlessly bark for hours. It's funny at first but being woken up by them is pretty frustrating. There's lots of barking dogs in South America though so are slightly used to it now haha.

  • We have only good things to say about Nuno and the house. It was just perfect. Nuno was picking up raspberries for us when we got there, that shows how nice and helpful he was!

  • Very great house, out of the center, not easy without car. Nuno is really nice, he can advise you about what to do around.

    Hi Pierre!
Thanks for your kind review. I am agree with you, despite " Chasing Bricks " house is 2 minutes away from the bus stop, the Bariloche experience is way better if you rent a car.

  • My husband and I spent our first night in Bariloche at a hostel. Big mistake. After an awful night of sleep we quickly booked with Nuno in the most amazing house of our entire honeymoon trip in Argentina. The house is away from the touristy city center and nestled in the rolling hills near the lake. Because the house was so great, we ended up cooking almost all of our meals there and staying in to fully enjoy the experience. The grocery store is about a 20 min walk away and there is also a natural grocery store with great produce.

To get to excursions on the lake we took the bus, which requires a bit of effort and walking along dusty roads, but the bus system is pretty easy.

Nuno is a great host who offered oustanding suggestions on what to do and where to eat (Aashi near the lake is a must) based on our interests. He made me feel like I could ask him anything and is the epitome of a warm and welcoming host.
