Imad was nothing short of a super host, he was twice that! Wonderfully decorated Riad where I could have stayed for a few days just admiring the craftsmanship and intricate details that make this Riad a special place. It is located a few minutes walk to see the local sights, or t…

Extremely ornate and decorated riad, and arguably the nicest riad we stayed at during our trip across Morocco. Imad is extremely quick to respond to messages over Airbnb or (Hidden by Airbnb) , as well as being very timely with pre-arranged services and/or excursions. There are…

This was the first time I had a less than wonderful experience through AirBnB. The "private bathroom" was not private by any stretch of the imagination. Though I was told it was for my "private use," it remains unlocked for any guest to access. It is located down a public hallway…

Response from Imad:
Carrie, I’m appalled by your exaggeration and untruths. While we are not operating a five star hotel (which is apparently what you desired), as your host, I provided you with 12 clothes hangers next to the shower, and if you needed more, all you needed to do was ask. I cannot see why any guest would have wanted over 12 clothes hangers for a one night stay. Regarding the privacy of bathrooms, there are 4 rooms and four bathrooms with each room assigned its own bathroom, and all can be locked from inside. A guest would have to be mentally deranged to want to use a bathroom other than what is assigned to him or her. In reference to the air condition, It is clearly stated in the listing that it is not included and I am pretty sure you did not filter it. To say that I deliberately adjusted search to give the wrong impression in order to trick guests is a bit extreme. In this case you are questioning my integrity as well as that of how AirB&B platform is structured and how they allow filtering. Also, I assume you read very well, even if you missed it while filtering, you would not have missed it if you read the rules of the riad and for your specific room choice. You were not required to pay $20 dollars for using the air conditioning unit. You were repeatedly told that the cost is $10 euros per night. To deliberately pay more in order to make a statement here leads to the questioning of your intentions. I’m disappointed that you have chosen to be malicious simply because you were spoken to about using service that was not a part of your original package. I strongly recommend that in the future, you take time to carefully read rules, regulations, and guidelines before you book rooms etc, and not accuse others for your oversight. Your use of expletives (too disrespectful to repeat) when spoken to about the use of the air-conditon, and also insinuating that someone must have been watching (or spying) on you (implying your privacy was violated), was your only apparent “civilised” way of resolving the situation. Unless ignorant about AC, any intelligent person knows that AC units can be noisy and obviously, can be heard if installed from outside. Thus, one does not need to enter the dwelling space of another to know that it’s being used. Losing your sleep was only a matter of being angry for having been addressed about using service that was not a part your package. Your breakfast was prepared and offered. Declining breakfast was your choice and you have that right. I’m not sure of your point of mentioning it here. Taking a taxi instead of using your previously purchased bus ticket was your choice. Again, I’m not sure of the relevance of you mentioning it here. That again was your choice and right. Addressing the air condition issue has obviously led to you seeing things that never existed. It’s quite obvious that addressing this has also led to you giving a 1 star for communication, value and accuracy, a 2 star for location, and a three star for cleanliness and check-in. Again Carrie, you imply that over 400 guests are lying about the quality services we offer here at the riad. Their references stated they obviously enjoyed their stay and would return. You are actually entitled to your opinion but you should not maliciously exaggerate them by distorting facts. The way you write gives the impression that you have stayed several nights. Carrie, regarding location, lighting, and accuracy, if you opposed to the riad’s location and the location of your bathroom, you simply could have requested a room change and we would have discussed the details and requirements. And if you did not deem it a good enough place to stay, yet, because I care about visitors to Morocco and more so Meknes, my home town, I would have assisted you in finding another of your preference. Since you said nothing then chose to write all these unkind things, you’ve caused me to question your intentions. The location is less than a minute walk to the taxi stand where you fetch your ride to Ifrane, and the place is well lit. Sorry your expectations were not met. Nonetheless, despite all you have said, I’m not mad at you and I honestly wish you well in your endeavours.

Riad Mogador is a beautiful place, with Moroccan interior and decorations. The location is good, you can walk to the square and the beautiful Bab Mansour and if you need a taxi: there is a taxi stand nearby. When you are traveling by train to Meknès, you have to take a petit taxi…
