Trastevere is the most popular district and one of the most characteristic of the city. The people of Trastevere consider themselves the most “authentic” among Romans. The urban and social texture has remained the same throughout the years; entering Trastevere from the Tiberina Island you will notice narrow labyrinth-like streets, ancient buildings, “pittoresque” corners, medieval towers and houses, renaissance cloisters and some of the most beautiful medieval churches of Rome.
Trastevere is a very lively and dynamic Rione of Rome; many artisan shops and art galleries are open until late at night. Romans themselves go to the numerous clubs and restaurants of Trastevere which are suitable for all tastes and pockets. Every Sunday morning, near Viale Trastevere, the famous “Porta – Portese” flee-market takes. If you happen to visit this market remember that bargaining on the price is mandatory!

Fantastic location, very close, but not too close, to all the eating and drinking places you could want in a charming and beautiful area of Rome - just an easy walk over the river from the centre.
The many sculptures and paintings make the interior really fascinating and unique.
The front door is amazing - we felt very cool going in and out of the building!
Lucia, who welcomed us, was very nice and helpful.
Overall we had a wonderful time.
Dark inside, with small windows - don't expect a view.
Not very well equipped for self-catering.
The upstairs neighbours (this is not a loft, but on the ground floor) were pretty active late at night on the wooden floor above our bed.
Massimo was a wonderful host and we had an excellent stay in Rome. We would recommend him and his amazing apartment- thank you Massimo!
not easy for that who likes comfort
communications with Massimo was very fast and convenient
Our host was lovely and friendly, met us all smiles at the apartment to provide the key and tell us a little about the apartment and area which was tremendously helpful. Also provided some helpful information about getting to the apartment and were very communicative and helpful prior to arrival. The apartment itself is simple and comfortable, and decorated with the artists beautiful work. It was not too loud at night, and the location could not have been more perfect for our needs, basically trapsing around Rome by foot all day and then retiring to our fun local neighborhood for dinner and drinks at night. It made a perfect homebase and would for anyone who plans for an active vacation without a lot of lounging around the apartment. There is no TV or wi-fi in the apartment but most of the restaurants nearby have wireless so it wasn't missed! thank you for a nice stay.
The owner Nino Mandrici is very nice and welcoming. The loft is rather dark, with not much natural light. The location is excellent. There is no wifi, and the plug in internet worked for two days out of seven. Nino made his best to fix it but it was hopeless.
The place is ideal for one or two nights not more.
