Really nice Riad, hard to find people will try and help you find it but walk you around the block and then demand money. Good to organise getting picked up from bus station if possible. Walking into the riad is like going through the pearly gates of heaven compared to outside. Bed is great.
We had a fantastic stay in this peaceful Riad. Our hosts made us feel very welcome and were always around for advice about places to see in Marrakech.
The Riad is situated in the old part of the town, the locals were friendly and we felt safe walking around the area.
We would defiantly return! Many thanks for making our holiday so enjoyable.
Very pretty, highly recommended!
THE SERVICE. The team are great - Brahim, Oumayma, an honorary staff called Youssaf and a couple of other keepers who always seem keen to help with a smile. Brahim was exceptionally great, he made us breakfast and one very late dinner much to our embarrassment.
Oumayma also arranged a couple of trips for us, as I think is the case in most riads.
THE RIAD. The location seems scary at first but once you've seen the rest of the Medina, nothing classifies as crazy anymore. The door opens to a pretty square with orange trees - in the morning at about 7am the birds start singing and that's really nice to wake up to. The bed is huge and cosy, the bathroom is always clean, and the place is flooded with light. There's also a terrace on the 4th floor, but the common area on the 2nd floor was our favourite.
Thanks to everyone who made our stay memorable.
THE FOOD. We loved the breakfast. The coffee was always delicious as was the tea, and the homemade jams. Be sure to have an early breakfast as if you have it late, it won't be fresh anymore.
Our hosts were very hospitable and the riad was magical. Our room and bathroom were very nice, and we thoroughly enjoyed the breakfasts provided each morning. The riad was also in a great location not too far from the Jemaa el-Fnaa making it easy to get anywhere we wanted to go.
Can not recommend Riad Sidi Ayoub highly enough!
From day one when the staff helped us plan our itinerary, book in tours and car trips, to the assistance they provided navigating our way to Jemaa El-Fna Square on our first night, to the loads of washing they did for free... The list goes on. Beautiful Riad, great heating/cooling, meals, sunny rooftop terrace, breakfast included. Hammam also onsite although we didn't use and they happily directed us to a good one in the main square. A great experience- a bargain. Will be back!
